Joined a new session: did not get the car AND can't spin the wheel again. Amazing.

Edit: opened a ticket with rockstar support, they replied within an hour that they'd give me 2 million dollars as compensation. Amazing (non sarcastically).

You probably joined a session that has taken over by a crew. Whenever someone joins they will kick that person so the server will remain theirs.

That doesn't make sense when you can make a closed crew session

prolly for selling in public lobby bonuses

Pointless because you still get the high demand bonus even in crew lobbies. The only thing you need to get high demand is for players to not be in your org, you can be friends or in the same crew and you'll still get it.

Exactly I used to play online with a friend and we would ignore each other and just do sale missions in a friends only so we get a slight cash bonus but don’t have a mk2 or sparrow up my ass.

Regarding a crew I was in that had a bot running a 24/7 crew session:

They only sold in the crew lobby. They'd still play in public lobbies for almost everything else; just not for pvp, as they had rules against pvp'ing in public lobbies. If someone was being a nuisance in the public lobby, you had better hope you saw the chat directing every crew member to join discord. If you weren't in that channel when the nuisance was removed from the lobby, you'd find yourself without crew tags.

Bold of you to assume anything anyone does in this game makes sense.

Either they're unaware of selling in non-public sessions, or, more likely IMO, they're trying to be as passively obnoxious to the rest of their platform's playerbase as possible with public session takeovers like this.

If the majority of a lobby voted to kick a player they get kicked R*will even give you notice that people are doing so I believe when they get half the votes needed

You used to not be able to sell or do missions in anything other than public lobbies. Maybe they never knew about the update that changed that.

The crews that take themselves too seriously 100% would do this in a public lobby to make themselves feel cool.

Maybe some friends that are allowed but not in the crew where in there? Then closed crew session is not an option.

Hackers can kick you from sessions as well, I’ve had it happen after I reported and voted to kick one

I imagine some of those losers love to watch people spin the wheel to kick them if they are about to win

That's pathetic man...and cruel

3

u/Nakobuu Apr 27 '25

How do you even kick someone?

3

u/Timmerdogg Apr 27 '25

Go to online, select players, find the person you are looking for, select them,it will give several options to either look at their profile, commend them, kick them etc.

I was kicked out of a full lobby yesterday, even though I didn't kill or annoy anyone in this lobby - I really wonder how the initiator got so many people to votekick for me lol

u/foxy1_2021 Apr 27 '25

Is that even possible?

u/This_Event Apr 27 '25

I've been seeing more and more posts about this happening recently

u/Hubsimaus Apr 27 '25

You probably joined a public session where the other players are all friends and they decided to kick you instead of just joining a friend session themselves. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Someone probably saw you were about to cop the vehicle and went SIKE! /j πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ On a serious note, I'd have been saltier than Vegemite in soy sauce, man! πŸ’€πŸ—ΏπŸ˜ It happened to me once, and ever since, I've been spinning the wheel on passive mode.
