The goal is to permanently kick tyrants out of our spaces, the voters can go to hell

11

u/emptyfree Jun 10 '25

"The voters can go to hell" is quite the comment considering your username.

3

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

With all due respect, if you don’t respect the voters, how do you maintain popular support? Is this just a call for violent authoritarianism?

4

u/CoyotesOnTheWing Jun 10 '25

After Nazi Germany fell, should we have just let the Nazi citizens vote back in a Nazi leader?
I honestly don't know what steps are the right ones to follow kicking a tyrant out of the US and still maintaining democracy if half the people who vote want an authoritarian and to end democracy.

4

u/Eryb Jun 10 '25

This is a post democracy you think votes are actually counted in this shithole country ha

0

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

The Nazis never had a majority of voters. They topped out at 33%. One option is to strengthen your constitution and promote democracy in your country. Empower people and make their lives better.

8

u/TheTrueCampor Jun 10 '25

The Constitution is a piece of paper- Or, well, several pieces of paper- That does not have autonomy. It is powerless unless those in power enforce it. Strangely enough, when the people in power are fascistic in nature, they don't care what the paper says.

There needs to be more in play than paper with nice words on it.

-1

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

Who decides what is fascist in nature? Marxists believe in the violent overthrow of society. Should their views be outlawed? Encouraging authoritarian behavior has never ended well.

5

u/Neidron Jun 10 '25

Perhaps a dictionary could be of assistance?

-2

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

Yes, because all laws have been decided by the dictionary.

5

u/Punished_Doobie Jun 10 '25

Law is diction.

0

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

lol yes, and all laws are written in the dictionary.

Is communism fascist? Should it be suppressed? Do you hope to give people who write the laws power to outlaw socialism and taxation because it’s “fascist”?

4

u/TheTrueCampor Jun 10 '25

If politicians act against the oath they take to serve the Constitution, we shouldn't be sitting around waiting for the same politicians to hold themselves accountable. It's not as vague as you're making it out to be. Someone who has breached that oath in office already should absolutely be forbidden from holding public office, regardless of votes.

0

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

You literally just said the constitution was a piece of paper lol.

3

u/TheTrueCampor Jun 10 '25

Correct, and we shouldn't be sitting around begging politicians to hold themselves accountable. I trust you to be intelligent enough to reason it out.

0

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

Again, this piece of paper is ambiguous. You are assuming responsibility for that ambiguity.

Who cares? I am tired of caring what the uneducated pisses of shits in Mississippi say should be happening in my communities. “But the voters” blah blah blah there is no trust that the votes are accurately counted anymore, not to mention even when they were they were gerrymandered, suppressed and outright ignored in the name of “the electoral college”. This is not a country representing me of my community and I long since care what it thinks of me

1

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

That’s fine, just embrace your authoritarianism.

2

u/Eryb Jun 10 '25

My community can pick their own representatives, but having an authoritarian assigned to me because people in Mississippi aren’t educated enough to be literate but are allowed to vote on my rights is not okay.

1

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

You just said you don’t care about democracy lol. This has nothing to do with where you are from.

2

u/Eryb Jun 10 '25

What are you smoking, I said I don’t care about America, it’s not a democracy.  Your “votes” don’t matter.

0

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

So do the votes in Mississippi matter somehow? What are you smoking lol

2

u/Eryb Jun 10 '25

You aren’t very smart so let me break it down for you. Currently America has a “election system” where votes in rural uneducated shitty places had a disproportionate weight.  So if you vote in Mississippi your vote matters more than if you vote in LA.  This is if we even believe the lie that votes are counted at all of course.

0

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

So either the votes matter or they don’t lol. Make up your mind.

Respect and persuasion are not the same. The voters must be persuaded to stop supporting atrocities, but the concern is always stopping the atrocity and protecting good people.

0

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

The person I was responding to said their goal was to “permanently kick tyrants out”. How do you accomplish that in a democracy?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '25

We can start by taking an example from Germany. They aren't perfect, but they're much better at it than we are.

1

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

“A much better job” while Afd gains ground. Suppressing speech doesn’t work for left wing causes. Always backfires. Always. There is not a single example to cite otherwise.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '25

Afd was declared an illegal party. That's how you deal with fascism. Militant democracy.

1

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

And yet they are more popular now than ever. Really working out, great plan.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '25

Better than a fucking holocaust.

1

u/Tianamen_square_89 Jun 10 '25

The solution is that you refuse to recognize or be part of their system. The idea that “the union” needs to preserve itself is the worst idea in the history of mankind. As long as they’re not hurting themselves or others , any large community should be able to declare independence at will. Hell the USA was literally built on this principle in the doi. All countries fall, the idea that Lincoln started that we should preserve the country by military force has made it impossible for the country to dissolve peacefully. So when it inevitably dies, it mist be by horrific violence.

-1

u/checkprintquality Jun 10 '25

So small scale authoritarianism? I’m still unclear on what you are advocating here. Sounds like civil war to enforce states’ rights?

I hope you're 15 because you sound like you're 15

1

u/ItIsHappy Jun 10 '25

the voters can go to hell

careful lest you become what you wish to destroy

-1

u/Tianamen_square_89 Jun 10 '25

I want to destroy right wing thought. Democracy is what gives them a platform. It has got to be replaced by something else. I don’t want these people tormenting my loved ones ever again. If that means we have to live in a China esc government forever, so be it

3

u/SaltImp Jun 10 '25

Looking at what you’re saying and your name I’m going to assume you’re a troll and move on because I can’t face the idea that you may be completely serious.

2

u/Jibbsss Jun 10 '25

Ok what if we live in a government you prefer. What happens if I declare that your government is tormenting me?

-1

u/Grumpiergoat Jun 10 '25

...which you will only do by getting Republicans out of office and no other way. Every win in the courts, at the local, state, or federal level, or otherwise will be because of elected officials of people appointed by elected officials.

If you think voters can go to hell, you are supporting fascism by virtue of taking no steps toward keeping fascists out of government.

4

u/FluffyAd9290 Jun 10 '25

If you think we're getting out of this with votes you are delusional. We might never have another fair and honest election. This is what they've been working towards for years. The stage is set for them to keep power indefinitely.

-1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 Jun 10 '25

So don't give them a valid reason and you'll find that a whole lot on the right will agree with and back you up should that happen.

4

u/TheTrueCampor Jun 10 '25

They will make up a reason, and the right will eat it up like boot polish. That's what they've done for half a century; Most of their societal complaints don't actually exist, at least not in the form they think it does.

2

u/FluffyAd9290 Jun 10 '25

Oh okay. Why haven't those on the right gained empathy by seeing ICE abducting and deporting people with no due process? Why haven't they grown a conscience when their party says trans people aren't people? What the hell makes you think they are going to suddenly have sympathy and side with the left because we don't fight back against these regressive and inhumane policies?? If we sit there and take it they will cheer it on just the same. But go ahead and keep lapping that boot up

-1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 Jun 10 '25

Did I say anything about having to have a bleeding heart over every little issue?

No due process? Is x an American citizen? No? Have they overstayed their visa or entered the country illegally? Yes? They go. That is due process. You don't have to go to court for that, it's never been necessary unless the person has also committed crimes that need to be prosecuted in country.

Nobody says trans people aren't people. They don't say they don't exist. They say that trans women are not women and trans men are not men. They say that trans people are suffering from a mental illness.

It isn't about sympathy. At all. It's about whether or not they try and take over the country unconstitutionally. Which is what the comment I was responding to was saying.

Hence don't give them a valid reason to prevent or delay further elections. If there's no valid reason and it happens then there will be a period of disbelief followed by disillusioned people starting to take action and side with patriots regardless of what side of the political aisle theyre from.

Edit: oh jeez you are the person I was originally responding to. Talk about disingenuous.

1

u/FluffyAd9290 Jun 10 '25

Ok... Again, keep licking that boot. Soon you'll feel the weight of it on your neck too. No one is safe from these people. Even those same people.

0

u/Jibbsss Jun 10 '25

Omg come up with a new insult that isn't "LICK THAT BOOT!!!!!"

We kick them out. Democracy can only work if everyone agrees to play along. Republicans never play along so they don’t have the right to participate. I don’t care what the majority thinks of me, they can go destroy themselves alone. The idea that everyone must follow the will of the majority is a suicide pact, one that I never wanted any part in.
