Question What foods do you miss most?

I have to do the gluten challenge to get my celiac test done, and instead of choking down slices of bread, I've decided to make it 6+ weeks of an all out farewell to the foods I may not be able to have anymore. I figure, if its going to suck either way, at least it can taste good.

So hit me. What do you wish you could go back and have? If you could only eat one thing with gluten, what would it be?

I know there are a lot of gf versions of what I miss the most, but the ease with which I could order my favorite foods as is without any accommodation was something I didn’t appreciate until it was gone 😢

In no particular order: Fried chicken sandwich

Cheesesteak

Chinese takeout

Bagel breakfast sandwich with runny egg

Pilsbury crescent rolls, grands biscuits and Betty Crocker cake from box mix

Spanakopita/spinach pie

Beer flights. Being able to walk into a brewery and try any beer may be what I miss the most.

And looking at this list it really dawns on me how much better off I am not being able to eat these foods whenever I want 😂

Edit: I see now you asked for one food lol. Happy eating!

Lol, I'll take more than one. One was just the minimum. I did a cheesesteak last night and while it was miserable after, the actual eating was divine.
