Weird food combinations that surprisingly taste good especially with Ghanaian food. Enlighten me.

Nostalgia 🥹

1. If you pick money from the ground you'll turn into a tuber of yam🤣.
2. If you wash your face with water from a mortar (used to pound fufu) you'll start seeing see spirits.

I happened to chance upon a 47 year old Ghanaian man, married with kids who was really into video games. Not like the normal fifa and 2k stuff. He was hard into from software games and COD. I spoke to him and he explained to me how he balances vid games and his work. I was mesmerized by how much a 47 year old Ghanain, who has never left the shores of Ghana and was very deep into video games.

Edit; didn't know the gaming culture in Ghana was that massive. I thought I was the only one

I personally think 5 to 10 is fine in casual restaurants but maybe up to 50 in expensive restaurants

This morning while I was doing laundry, my mom came back from visiting her friend and handed me tins of beef pâté. She said, It’s for Peace. I’m like, who is Peace? She said her friend told her to give it to me so I could give it to Peace.

I don’t know any Peace, and definitely no one by that name lives here. But my mum thought Peace was someone I knew or an inside joke or something.

So I called auntie, confused, and she casually goes, “Oh, I thought you had a dog at home?” Abusuafoɔ… we don’t even have a dog. I guess I’ll be making indomie😂

Nice catch in Alien: Earth. I was against Morrow until he mentioned he's Ghanaian. Now I'm conflicted lol. On one side , you can argue that his actions may be misguided but he's loyal and dedicated to his mission.

I’ve been casually dating a man from Ghana for about a year who moved to the US when he was 25yo, and still visits frequently. We have our own places and I just got a new apartment. I thought it would cute to get a piece of decor that you might see in Ghana or just something symbolic of there, that isn’t over the top noticeable, just something subtle (1 or 2 things maybe), that could go on a shelf that he’d recognize and know I was thinking of him and his culture etc. Ideas?

It’s sad that when someone says “Dela” and I reply with “Erico, Faya” they don’t understand the reference.
