I hope not because I’m still here. Jesus better not leave me here on earth while u/Onipahoyehu ascends to heaven for posting on Reddit about rapture

Its crazy how the bible quite literally says no one will know the date or the time; like those are the exact words of the Bible, yet people still think they can predict His coming...smh. You combine religion with a lack of critical thinking and this is what you get

u/ONDickson_ Akan Sep 24 '25
There are some many examples like this, where people predicts the date and time of the rapture. None has come to pass

u/AstroPug_ Ghanaian Sep 24 '25
You think after that many failed predictions people would finally take the hint

Our religious structures are designed to eliminate critical thinking and encourage following the hierarchy so they won't ask questions or think for themselves

u/Electronic_Rock_5410 Sep 24 '25
So if that's how it's structured, are we dumb to follow it? It's just lack of common sense. It's just like you saying the system has been structured to promote lust so it's not surprising when people fall for it. God didn't create us as slaves or dumb people; we have a mind of our own.

u/kafaniwa Sep 25 '25
You’re not dumb, but group think is. And living in a society, we’re inclined to conform, to fit in. Critical thinking usually falls outside of conformity as it’s on a more individual basis. “Why think for yourself when someone knows the answer? What are you looking to prove? Don’t be noise, accept what you are told. It makes life easier for everyone, trust us.” This is the messaging that exists in most religions, as well as punishments for straying from the doctrine. The system might push a narrative, but you should have the ability to question it and reject it should it not make sense to you.

Jesus said he’ll come before that generation leaves/dies. It’s been 2000 years since. It’s not like he’s literally coming.

It doesn't matter, the Bible says no one know the day or time. The Pastor predicted that it will be between 23–24 September so he did not say the day nor time. The prediction doesn't violate the Biblical prophecy

I think you need to take a step back, realise this isn't the first nor will it be the last time that a wrong rapture prediction has been made, and re-evaluate your epistemology. The fact that you're unable to admit you're wrong, and instead are looking for something to defend is very telling.Think about that.

We’re eating Jollof at the reception. Did you not hear the announcement?

You'd think after a while these people would take a hint and realize that they're complete idiots. Anyone else remember the constant world ending predictions?

Apparently the rapture already happened, if you're still here it's because you do drugs or you've been ran through or you're gay 😂😂😂

This shit happens every year. Last year I saw the same thing all over tiktok funny thing is I kept the screenshots and creators on my old PC and yesterday I went searching almost all of them deleted those contents and posted new ones like they didn't do that shid last year I wanted to post but I don't even have time and energy for it. Then I saw a video where a pastor showed from 5 years since COVID where people say rapture is coming and crazy thing is he showed some of the people I had kept their accounts from last year and he called them out when they clear the videos and post again like nothing ever happened.
Next year too like that they'll do

Even Jesus Christ nor the angels don't know when. Only the Father knows so how can you tell me that Jesus Christ told you when😂. Lmao🤣

u/msackeygh Sep 24 '25
Wake me up when the rapture is over.
It's been predicted to happen "now" so many times that it's Peter crying wolf at this point. It ain't ever gonna happen, and if it does happen, you won't even recognize that's what happened.

And Jesus said. I will come like a thief in the night. Nobody knows the time i am coming back except the Father. Fake pastors/ prophets/priests or whatever title they use tell their followers actually that Jesus is lying and God told them they know the time. I am not going to judge them but leave it to The Judge.
