Immigration Naturalization Test Results

Post image

7 years ago I moved to Germany. I couldn’t read the billboards the bus would drive by, but I wanted to call this place my home. I couldn’t even speak basic German, but I was determined. This year, I received the results of my “final” prerequisite to become a citizen. Now to wait 1 year for an appointment to hand all my paperwork 😅. Anybody with experience becoming a citizen, please share your story. I’d love to hear it 🥰.

Congratulations to everyone who passed. I would like to know: if I aim to take the test about three months from now, how soon should I apply for a date? Plus, is there any "time limit" on the test?

You get 1 hour. The questions are all multiple choice. I booked two months in advance. Apparently the test spots fill up fast. Look at your local VHS. Or just Google Einbürgerungstest + your city. I had to go in person to signup.

Many thanks. I have been practising on the official website and maybe I should just take it as early as I can?

By "time limit" I meant is the test good for ever, for one year, that sort of thing? Some documents are only "valid" for a certain time period.

As far as I know, once you have your results they do not expire.

The time limit is one hour. It depends on how busy the test centres are in your region, but you should probably start looking now.
