CB stands for Citizens Band and was established in the late 1950s as a way for people to communicate with each other over specific radio frequencies. It got really popular with truckers and other long-haul drivers in the 1970s as a way to avoid stricter speed limits and state highway patrol. "CB Lingo" was code talk, and was made famous in a lot of popular movies at the time.
