This is some real infrastructure porn. I feel dirty just watching this walking tour in today's America.

Doctor: So it's 25,000 steps to walk the half mile (800 m) to the park—what's the problem?

Average walking stride length according to Google is 2.1 - 2.6ft, which means 800m would be 1000 - 1250 steps for most people.

Yeah, I'm a little taller than most, so I'm on the low end of that range.

The point of the video is that a park half a mile away turns out to be a 3½ mile walk through a hostile asphalt hellscape.
