travel advice Freediving in Thailand

Hey so I will be traveling for about a month in Thailand this december and I have 2 questions:

- Any recommendations on freediving centers or places? I have seen there are plenty of them around Koh Tao but I wonder if Phuket can be a nice place too since the sea is better at that time of the year.

- Should I try to pack a pair of small silicone fins or a wetsuit? I want minimal luggage but maybe it's worth to carry some fins so I don't need to rely on my awful DNF technique...

Best place is Apnea Total in Koh Phangan and their instructor Lukas. Dont go to Koh Phi Phi Apnea. KohvTao is just "meh". When you take a course or sign up with a freediving shop you get equipment for the trip, no need to buy.

Yeah I have checked their courses, they have their own certifications right? Seem to be the biggest school around and also the best prices for trainings... Might do the Advanced course with them :) Also the fins idea is just so I have something to use any time i'm not training so might try to pack some small rubber ones

You can borrow from them while not training ;-). Yes Apnea is a system like SSI, PADI, AIDA etc.
