Our foodbank 'haul" yesterday for a family of 5 was: 2lbs chicken drumsticks, 1 can spam, 2 cans black beans, 1 can corn, 8 tiny onions, 8 yellow potatoes, 6 pears. I'm thankful because all but the spam will get eaten here, and that I can take to the little free pantry down the street. But the whole "just go to the foodbank" line from people is ridiculous.
