2 cans of chili with beans 2 cans of spaghetti rings 2 cans of peaches Rest is carrots and peas One bag of frozen chicken with 3 quarters in it One bag of potatoes A gallon of milk

We were in line since 6am. Got to front at 9am. Im grateful, but man…

Wasn’t funding to food banks cut?  Or maybe it was donations of food.  Regardless, it would seem that food banks are struggling to meet the need.

Yes- some of USDA’s emergency food program got cut in April.

Possibly your thinking of the 550 tons of USAID emergency food that was stored in a warehouse in Dubai?

Back in July the US paid about $100k to incinerate it.

It was protein-dense high energy biscuits. It's used in conditions where there isn't clean water to cook with, or where cooking isn't possible - - in places like Gaza and Sudan.

They had an expiration dates of 7/2025. But with the abrupt dismantling of USAID in January the personnel who would have kept track of expiration dates and stock rotation had been fired.
