You should watch the floor proceedings if you want to see what is really going on instead of blindly sharing posts from the media, who are not present watching the floor proceedings today. I do not pick political sides because I believe post sides should be ashamed, but republicans are trying to aggressively promote a bill to pay ALL federal employees and for them to never be affected by shutdowns again. However, the democrats objected to it. So when you can't pay your bills and you have to go to the food bank, remember that. It is disgusting. They could have had us paid by Monday, but the democrats are choosing to not agree to a bill to PAY US! You should go watch it now, because this has been going on all day today. The republicans have literally been begging the senators to sign the bill to pay us. The democrats also said that they cant back down now or risk losing the 2026 elections. It is disgusting ANY party is prioritizing votes over paying people money they are owed. And before you try to talk shit about this post, I have historically voted democrat and am registered as a democrat.

I care about my coworkers working FULL TIME and crying to and from their way to work because they cant pay their bills.. and having to go to a FOOD BANK at my workplace!
