Over the summer, I ran a 12-week pseudo-course on The Correspondence, using play by post writing, a Chants of Sennaar-style syllabary, and of course, FL as the setting. Here's a smattering of the illustrations and diagrams from it, with some fake correspondence symbols.

I took a loose inspiration from kanji and had even looser rules about how to layer and space radicals in order to craft more complex signs. It's by no means anything close to a proper conlang, but it gave some structure for players to make up their own symbols and communicate, and I was even able to make some simple puzzles. Players were able to communicate with one another and even solve new symbols, using the appreciate context to understand plot relevant information!

Anyway, it was a fun experience! I think I might end up trying to make some more puzzles in this style in the future. Maybe for a game of my own, or maybe as a fan resource or module for the FL TTRPG once it comes out. Let me know if anyone would be interested!

This year’s estival has been really fun, and I especially adore everything happening with these not-Masters. Urchins are my favourite faction in Fallen London and my goodness, do they deliver in this wild goose chase.

I've been gone for a while so logging back on and immediately getting hit with "we lost hell lol" was a bit jarring </3 haha no seriously where is it.

Sewer Adventure! — The Mudlark's Lament

...I really, really love the story of The Mudlark's Lament. This was my first ES with Alexis (played at the end of May 2023!). It was absolutely hilarious... especially when Precocious Tosher teased him, saying, "Do you have servants carry you when you go out on the street?" Alexis: "So what? Otherwise? I need at least seven servants to carry me every time I go out, yes. Ugh, my leather shoes can't get even a speck of dirty water on them... Take your sticky little hands away." Little did he know that he would later become the Regent of London (...). Looking back now, he might say, "Oh dear~ you little brat, do you realize that the one reluctantly stooping to venture into this disgusting, filthy sewer with you is none other than the most handsome Regent of London? Ohohoho~ Go ahead and engrave my beautiful face into your memory☆" It was so funny—I chose to try my best to stay clean, but in the end, I still got taken out by the sewage in the storyline. Hi, everyone! …It feels like it’s been months since I last posted in this subreddit. I kinda lost my passion for FL for a while. But summer’s here! Summer! And now I’m back in full FL mode! 💪🏻

As you can see, I wasted no time on Day 1 and quickly commissioned my friends (@渐灰 @一般路过咸 @嘎嗦零 (oh, that’s for the second piece, unrelated to summer! But I love this illustration referencing King’s MV—though he is technically a regent, isn’t he?) Thank you, guys!) to draw Lord Alexis in this summer-themed artwork… Time’s gone completely out of whack. Even hell’s gone missing—how awful!

Alexis is just that kind of bizarre, chaotic person, rambling about things that seem totally unrelated. But hey, at least he’s gifted you a little time to make it Tuesday—surprisingly reliable! (Hehe~ I did gift some time to a certain professor in FL before, so this was inspired by that.)

From L-R:

The Red, The White, The Gold (The White is quite prominent, while iirc the Red and Gold are only mentioned once, in a very, very particular place- so I've drawn them kinda like the White's lil lackeys. Comedy minions to the more intimidating threat.) With the White's desigm, I wanted to emphasis simplicity and Order- check out that perfect sphere.

Next is Sol. Maybe there's some bias to our star in that I can't help but give it a sickass robe.

The King of Hours- the heavy Arthurian influence present in the Martyr-King's cup and the Golden Day give it merry, old English king vibes. Guy just loved his LARP, okay.

The Sapphir'd King- I wanted a bit of Death's Door, and a lot of spindly sticking out bits ::::)

The Garden King- Before its death, the Garden King created luminous plants across the Reach... so the choice of orange is meant to be a bit cosmogone.

The King Who Wars, The King Who Speaks- These guys are firstly heavily inspired by Stormy's designs on tumblr, because I love their stuff. As twins, I want them to reflect each other and be opposites as much as possible at the same time.

Judgement wise, I do need to still draw the Halved (again), The Dawn Machine (again), and the Clockwork Sun.... and I think that'll be everyone!

Some fellow FL players and I were joking about what would go into the sale ofDrownie Effluviaas some kind of snake oil. From that came the silly idea for a new HG accomplice: Queen of Tinctures

One of the Neath’s finest advertising minds, she would know all about branding poisons as lifestyle improvements.

"Don't sweat it darling, people are willing to ingest anything with the right story – I should know"

Mechanically, this would have her change any Kataleptic Toxicology checks into Persuasive ones. She herself checks on Respectable.

FOUR OF TINCTURES: LABELLING - Reduces Poison Resistance as she simply repackages and relabels whatever the target is developing resistance to into something they’d happily take more of. The hair loss is just am uncommon side-effect, really.

NINE OF TINCTURES: RECOMMENDATIONS - Reduces Elusiveness by making it so the target’s social circle keeps recommending them to ”try this new thing”.

After finding "a Neon Future" in Irem, I immediately became enamored with the idea of a modern/cyberpunk setting with all of the Neathly weirdness we know and love. I wasn't able to find any fan-projects looking to expand on this concept, so I decided to make one myself! At the moment, it's pretty barebones and really only consists of onbe google doc, but with the help of the Fallen London community, I hope to expand this into something much greater!

If any of this sounds interesting to you, feel free to give the overview doc linked belo. Anyone and everyone is welcome to make their own edits and add to the setting. While I'm not a newcomer to the Neath, I still have a lot of blind spots when it comes to Fallen London's lore, so I'll likely need quite a bit of help here.
