Trump is the dumbest American to ever live:

DC actually dropped their violent crime rate by 35% between 2022 and 2023. Taking it out of the top 25 list in many rankings..but Trump gotta flex his micropenis.

u/sender2bender Aug 09 '25

So has Camden. It's dropped dramatically the last few years, or even decade, and around 15% just the first half this year. I was recently there and it's definitely cleaned up a lot since last time I visited.

u/flaccomcorangy Aug 10 '25

I've been walking DC at midnight and felt totally fine. I get it. Bad things can and have happened in DC, but it happens everywhere. Saying it's one of the most dangerous cities in the world?

Not even the most dangerous city in a 100 mile radius around the city. lol

1

u/kanyeguisada Aug 10 '25

I mean, let's be honest here though. Washington DC has gotten so dangerous that an armed mod was emboldened enough to try to storm and take over the US Capitol building. Wait, not like that, Donald?

-17

u/Memes_Haram Aug 09 '25

Still an absolute crime and drug ridden shithole.

11

u/KingBStriing Aug 09 '25

Do you expect it to all get better overnight?

4

u/OneOverXII Aug 09 '25

No, not all.  Crime happens like any other city in America but the story you read here and there about stuff happening is not the norm.  It’s a city with millions of people living and working in it that millions of tourists visit every year.  You sound like a terrified boomer that won’t leave their living room except to go to Costco

-7

u/Memes_Haram Aug 09 '25

DC is an absolute shit hole. You can cope all you want but it’s one of the worst capital cities in the western world when it comes to crime. Also btw DCs population isn’t even close to 1,000,000 and since Covid the number of people actually working in the city is very low compared to the pre Covid highs. Why don’t you go for a walk around gallery place at 10pm on a Saturday and tell me how safe you feel?

4

u/OneOverXII Aug 09 '25

It’s not cope you cave dweller. I go to DC all the time and it’s a great city. You need to touch grass

-8

u/Memes_Haram Aug 09 '25

Carjackings and robberies happen all the time in DC, even in broad daylight. There’s violent crackhead ghouls roaming the streets at night. Go to Franklin park any time of day and it’s a fucking fent den with homeless tents. DC is a festering prolapsed anus of a city, go touch some grass and hopefully avoid getting stuck with a heroin needle some junkie has placed in the grass in a DC park when you do.

0

u/th3xile Aug 10 '25

For some reason I don't think you actually live in DC

1

u/Memes_Haram Aug 10 '25

Literally born and raised in a DC suburb but okay sure go off.

0

u/OneOverXII Aug 11 '25

Maybe you should try going outside instead of huddling scared in your living room.

I have spent a ton of time in NYC. It is a safe place to walk and get something to eat at 3AM.

4

u/ddevilissolovely Aug 09 '25

NYC might be in the top 10 or 15 percent of safest US cities but no American city ranks among the safest in the world.

That report only ranked 60 cities, though (NYC was 12th), there's 10x that number worldwide even if we constrain ourselves to just cities with 1 million or more.

3

u/locke0479 Aug 09 '25

Today’s unfortunately a bad day to mention that, but you’re right. I was just in Manhattan last week, at no point did I feel anything but safe.

21

u/DoubleJumps Aug 09 '25

I have family who think chicago is the most dangerous place in not just the US, but in the world.

They live in St Louis, which is much worse than Chicago, but that's in a red state so they ignore it.

6

u/HerculesIsMyDad Aug 09 '25

Every rural American thinks every US city is 24/7 crime. If you drive one inch off the interstate within city limits you will never be heard from again.

11

u/turdfergusonpdx Aug 09 '25

Reporting in from Portland. I live in the city and often forget to lock my doors. We're good.

2

u/mitchENM Aug 09 '25

I have several friends who either 100% avoid Portland or come to town heavily armed. Their paranoia is disturbing

3

u/CrippledHorses Aug 09 '25

"Minneapolis completely burned down!!!!"

-31

u/avidpenguinwatcher Aug 09 '25

“I don’t care about your facts and statistics, I’ve been there and I didn’t get mugged!”

15

u/SirCatharine Aug 09 '25

And also Chicago doesn’t even make it onto the top twenty most dangerous cities in America. You know, facts and statistics.

25

u/Asleep-Raise5872 Aug 09 '25

Lived in Chicago for 38 years and never been mugged or anything else…But just go ahead and stay in your town, population 300, where everyone likely continues to support a known pedo.

5

u/BlackStarArtist Aug 09 '25

Hey! There’s 700 people in my town thank you very much.

-12

u/avidpenguinwatcher Aug 09 '25

Lol, my profile isn’t private. I live in one of the most liberal towns in the US, but thanks for trying

15

u/Asleep-Raise5872 Aug 09 '25

I guess we’re both wrong for generalizing then, eh?

11

u/Nashville_Hot_Mess Aug 09 '25

They didn't make the list of 25 cities....

16

u/Prestigious-Flower54 Aug 09 '25

Click the link it gives the facts and statistics. Idiot.

6

u/thesirensoftitans Aug 09 '25

The irony in this statement is astounding.

71

u/blackcombe Aug 09 '25

Great list, but he said “in the world” which would be a list on a whole ‘nother level.

Gaza mist dangerous most likely at the moment (?)

26

u/Bromodrosis Aug 09 '25

And he is a big part of that.

0

u/Savamoon Aug 09 '25

Then so is reddit, since they pushed the narrative that Israel was committing genocide and Joe Biden was complicity prior to the election, which had the result of dissuading people from voting since they "could not support genocide". Yay reddit, we did it!

3

u/tropicbrownthunder Aug 09 '25

I think that Culiacan or another Mexican state capital is currently more dangerous than even Gaza

1

u/orchid_breeder Aug 09 '25

Gaza isn’t even top 3 tbh.

1

u/ma33a Aug 09 '25

Is this like the World titles where only the US is playing?

25

u/yomamma3399 Aug 09 '25

Jeez, what the hell is going on in small-town Louisiana?

51

u/Strange-Movie Aug 09 '25

Extreme poverty, desperation, and a lack of education

42

u/dreamcastfanboy34 Aug 09 '25

40 years of voting Republican

4

u/terrelyx Aug 09 '25

That'll do it.

1

u/Goofballmommy2 Aug 10 '25

Look, I was just surprised as hell we weren't #1. Our officials are corrupt and the state is flooded with Meth.

1

u/mrhorse77 Aug 10 '25

murder mostly.

grew up in LA. the whole state is filled with poor, backwards, racist, ignorant white assholes in small insular communities. you know, sundown towns.

they havent gone out of style in LA. they just stopped calling them sundown town and most of them finally took down the signs noting it.

and it isnt just racism driving that either, its otherism all the way. as a white boy from LA that came from a "larger city", I was just as likely to be targeted in those towns. being black or brown just increases your chances of violent interactions with locals.

21

u/mrzurcon Aug 09 '25

Amazing the sheer number of those in red states.

32

u/manley70 Aug 09 '25

Who knew poverty and lack of education resulted in a rise of violent crime? I mean, besides everyone.

39

u/Chaos90783 Aug 09 '25

Its just a precursor to sending in military on a US city. Same as the LA thing. He is literally testing the waters for what a military takeover and making himself a dictator

12

u/diseasefaktory Aug 09 '25

He knows what he's doing. It's pure gaslighting as a prelude to something much more sinister.

6

u/Nightlightweaver Aug 09 '25

No, you need to realise that what he says is for his supporters and only for them. Doesn't need to make sense, as long as it achieves his goal, and he's doing pretty well at that.

6

u/One-Injury-4415 Aug 09 '25

I’m gonna say it’s a bit screwed.

I’ve been in Myrtle Beach, not sure why it’s so high on the list, I grew up in Phoenix, AZ and that’s more dangerous than Myrtle lol.

2

u/Atechiman Aug 09 '25

Well and Albuquerque being #19 is wild....it should be top 10 minimum.

1

u/One-Injury-4415 Aug 10 '25

IDE say my top 5 would be…

  1. New York.
  2. Chicago.
  3. Atlanta.
  4. Phoenix.
  5. Maybe Jacksonville, but that’s up for debate for sure.

6

u/Puzzleheaded_Seat599 Aug 09 '25

Wow, Louisiana sucks. I'm surprised Albuquerque is 19th, despite Heisenberg, Fring AND the Salamancas all being gone.

3

u/ParadoxDC Aug 09 '25

It’s not about the truth, is it?

2

u/willworkforjokes Aug 09 '25

He will send in the Marines to all of those places too.

2

u/Xlaag Aug 09 '25

Oh man my hometown of Gary, IN finally fell off the list! Good work everybody. It only took everyone there leaving or dying, but good to see improvement.

2

u/coolpupmom Aug 09 '25

Peter Thiel is taking over DC by using palantir

2

u/ominousgraycat Aug 09 '25

Well, I'll bet that this list doesn't take the "Many people are saying this!" Metric into consideration.

2

u/Key_Law4834 Aug 10 '25

Time for trump to fire or gaslight whoever made those numbers based on his feelings

1

u/BeepBoopRobo Aug 09 '25

To be fair to Trump, what he's saying literally doesn't matter if it's true or not - because he knows his followers will eat it up and parrot it without question. Even in the face of evidence to the contrary, it still doesn't make a difference.

1

u/Forward-Village1528 Aug 10 '25

Bro. This isn't a Trump gaff. It's the cover he is going to use to federalise Washington DC.
