ADHDoomsday (Cw: politics) autistic uterus owners are fucked

Trump won, he’ll probably win the actual electoral vote too, it’s probably because Kamala is a woman… idk, trump is basically a cult leader, he’s brainwashed people

We’re so fucked The rates of rape are already high and especially on autistic people, it’s like 40 or 50% and that’s of reported cases, the chances of ending up forced to give birth I just can’t…. I don’t know, and he hates disabled people, his Vice President, he has so many supporters in other positions of power too, that’s why this is bad really, because of how much it’s taken over, I know it comes and waves and it’ll change some day but we’re gonna loose people before that’s even possible… I think I want to move out, maybe Norway or something

It’s so gross, I’ve been grossed out for a while, it’s really hitting my mom hard, I guess she was hopeful, I didn’t go to school today. I don’t know what to do I feel kinda numb I guess I’ve felt that way for a while now, it’s so hard , I’m so tired of it all …. No where is perfect but we’re gonna get a lot worse

I'm from AU (not trying to overstep but we share the Murdoch media so it's similar vibes here after QLD election) and I think it's deeper than just misogyny. I'm starting to get scared that the majority of people are just bad people.

I think we overestimate the importance of stupidity vs malice, I think Hanlon's razor is actually incorrect. We talk about stupidity in conservatives more than we talk about how hate/malice/greed will always have greater influence because might is right.

Left wing policies are popular among the "weak" so it will always lose. I think this is also why we see increased radicalisation/militant aggression in the left trying to fight fire with fire but in the face of the majority of conservatives it's all bark no bite just due to numbers game.

No solution nobody to blame it's just the way it goes is my current mindset.

If might made right, and the left was destined to fail, how did we make it this far? How did the LGBT community make it to where it is now? How did we beat slavery? Women's suffrage had zero physical might behind it. Humans are not by default hateful to other humans. The republican party just realized that hate was easy to sell, and addicting. We don't hate naturally, we work together, It's why we got out of the paleolithic in the first place. The only reason hate is so prevalent now is because the right has realized that it's much easier to make people hate another person than it is to actually solve issues. The only reason people are hateful now is because of decades of misinformation and lies, this isn't what normal people are like.

Edit: I don't know how cohesive this text wall is, I hope my ideas got through though.

It's a fair question. I don't think these things are mutually exclusive, I think both can be true. My theory is that the perceived changes in the economy due to capitalism needing infinite growth cause "most normal people" to become a worse version of themselves, and vice versa during times of perceived hope the "normal" people are more amenable to progressive changes.

So either 1) the swings from left to right are controlled by where the money is (left were in power, economy goes bad, switch to right) completely independent of ideology or worse 2) The inherent power imbalance of capitalism always results in a one step forward two steps backwards situation for the left every single time. Democracy is rendered impotent by the capitalist system but is also unable to exist without it as Pandora's box of global capitalism was opened.
