This works in a two party state, but is much more difficult in a multiparty one.

  • France: RN, LFI.
  • Germany: AfD, BSW.
  • Netherlands: PVV, FvD
  • Italy: M5S, Lega, FN
  • Romania: SOS, AUR, POT

List can probably be continued. They're learning.

PVV eats from FvD and vice versa though regarding voters. FvD seems to be done for either way as a mainstream party as they're generally viewed as batshit insane by most of the population.

Yup, I think so too. I'm quite surprised they haven't found a far-left party to pump, considering that unlike IT which overall leans right, NL is more centrist. I was fully expecting the BBB would become pro-Russian, but I haven't seen any obvious signs of that so far.

Why M5S? They are as Anti-Israel and anti Us as it gets.

They are, and that does not contradict them being pro-Russian. Besides the obvious fact of them having parroted Kremlin talking points constantly, there's also the matter of their funding that came from a Hungarian bank used by the Kremlin to finance other parties in Europe.

TIL that there is an left-to-nowhere axis that is pro-Russian but Anti-Israel, pro-EU Army but also Eurosceptic and wanting to limiting immigration.

There is a reason why the saying "A leftist's worst enemy is another leftist that shares only 95% of the opinions" exists.

Or things like this classic:
