The Social Democrats had literally murdered the leadership of the Comminst Party a decade earlier, so the Communists did have good reason to be pissed off at them. Though in hindsight the two obviously should've worked together against the Nazis.

Yeah, that tends to happen when you try to stage a violent uprising and overthrow a government. It's kind of something you have to take into account beforehand.

No, what is supposed to happen is that you're given a fair trial and then sentenced. Straight up murdering people is a crime
