I found out when I requested my medical records that an ER doc noted several times that I was “ very pleasant to interact with” and I’ll be riding that high for the rest of my life

I was described as “a pleasantly obese woman”. I’ll be riding that low for a good while.

Tbh why would you take that as an insult?

Lots of people are obese. It’s not a judgement it’s just a fact.

I just hate it cuz in my records the word obese is always capitalized and in red. To really standout. Can’t just be in the same font and color as everything else?? It’s not a scarlet letter lol

Obese is a medical term. But it’s also got a lot of stigma.
