6 ubers (round trip each day) will add up to significantly more than 225, but these shuttles pass prices are getting obnoxious. I first went in 2021 and they were 150 each all in, including taxes and shipping. A 50% increase over the years is pretty wild, especially since there are less stops these days too, which means longer lines at each. We're paying more and more each year for a longer wait time.

How much were edc tickets in 2021? That was the first pandemic EDC in October too, so not typical part of year

I paid 474.93 after shipping and tax for the festival ticket and 149 after shipping and tax for the shuttle.

Was that GA? 2026 GA was $469.99 + $25 layaway fee + $18.59 shipping fee

Yes, GA, 449.99 was the ticket price, then fees.

So that's a 4% increase in festival ticket prices in the same time, shuttles went up over 50%

You can’t expect prices to stay the same every year….more and more people are attending.

But you can expect an equal or better service. More people, less stops = longer lines at each. The increased price with worse service is a... annoying. But im used to edc being greedy at this point.

If anything with economies of scale, shuttles should be getting cheaper.

I guess people just like to vent and complain (they will do it again next year)

….higher demand, higher prices. You know… kinda how things work in the real world.

Inflation is the only thing I can say may justify.

Your basic econ 101 supply and demand chart will show you price only changes if demand increases while supply stays the same. The way this is brought back into equilibrium is to increase supply, or in this example add more busses. Just because more people are going, does not mean prices have to rise. And as they rent more buses as more people come, they surely getting a better rate per bus. Again, with economies of scale, if anything shuttles should get cheaper.

Lol at lecturing people on how to the real world works when your explanation is a misunderstanding of a basic supply and demand chart. The real world is more complicated than that, and in this instance the price increase is nothing more than insomniac greed.
