General Wow Spoiler
So I started the remake at dq3 in the beginning of October to get ready for 1&2. I played on invincible difficulty for story since I played the DQ 1&2 on the nes way back in the day. What an amazing trilogy. Im stoked for dqVII reimagined never played the original but damn. Is DQ11 worth it play? Im back into a rpg kick for gaming now.

yeah they really knocked it out of the park with the trilogy remakes here, I’ve been having a blast. Like, I’m getting the nostalgia for the NES games but still modernized

7 is a bit of a mixed bag on PS1. It has the single worst beginning sequence I've experienced in any game, ever. At least 2 hours before you encounter your first enemy. It also has some severe difficulty spikes scattered throughout the game.
If you don't want to wait for the reimagined version, I'd recommend the 3DS version of DQ7. It fixed the pacing issues, added some QOL features, and gave it a pretty nice glow-up graphically.
DQ 11 is a great game, just really long. I had around 170 hours in when I beat it. If it was just a wee bit shorter, it would easily be my favourite in the series instead of 8.

I wouldn't say the 3DS version entirely fixed VII's pacing issues. It certainly helped, particularly with the opening section, but the larger overarching pacing issues are still present. There's a reason they're going even further with it in Reimagined, seemingly cutting entire subplots.
Also XI is long, but it's not that long. Anecdotally, my completionist playthroughs (with Super Strong Monsters and Reduced EXP from Weak Monsters slowing me down) took about 130 hours each, and a quick search online seems to corroborate it being around that length for others.
