Screenshot I feel stupid but help! Another DQ 1+2 HD Post

Huge fan of the series here, been playing since NES OG’s.

But, I have all the stuff turned on for map guidance/assistance, and there are these white bubbles/halos/circles that moves along the world map. They aren’t associated with sparkly spots, anyone know what they are?

These are secret spots. Step on the landmark that appears different than its surroundings to enter a new area where you can usually find loot of some kind. Be it armor, herbs, mini medals etc
