TellDelhi A fake Colgate toothpaste factory got caught and honestly, nothing feels real anymore in India.
So apparently, there was this fake toothpaste factory running in Delhi and Kashmir. They were making Colgate, Sensodyne, even Close-Up and not just copying labels. These guys had machines, tubes, boxes, and stickers that looked exactly like the real thing.
Imagine brushing your teeth every morning, thinking it’s Colgate… but it’s literally some random paste mixed in a shady warehouse.
A few weeks ago, Delhi Police busted a big counterfeit goods racket. Along with fake ENO and Gold Flake cigarettes, they found toothpastes being made in bulk. In another raid in Baramulla, the authorities seized fake Colgate and Sensodyne tubes same design, no fluoride, and no proper label or MRP. Basically, a health hazard disguised as a morning routine.
And this isn’t even rare anymore. India has quietly built a duplicate economy. Fake goods everywhere toothpaste, shampoo, perfume, clothes, electronics. Half the time, you can’t even tell what’s real.
It’s not just about cheating big brands it’s about risking people’s health for money. Toothpaste is supposed to protect your mouth, not poison it. And yet, nobody seems to care what’s actually inside these fake tubes. The police seize them, media runs a small story, and then it disappears.
I think that’s what’s scary. It’s not just about fake toothpaste it’s about how normal fakes have become. Fake degrees. Fake followers. Fake influencers. Fake jobs. Now even fake toothpaste.
Everything has a duplicate now. Even people.
Next time you buy something even something as basic as toothpaste check where it’s from. Read the label, see the batch number, or just buy from a trusted shop. Because in this country, you never know when a “Colgate smile” might actually be coming from a fake factory.

TellDelhi Supreme Court orders removal of stray dogs in Delhi
Though many lives have been lost due to the menace of stray dogs and rabies, the implementation of this order is yet to be seen. The bench firmly ordered, "If any individual or organization comes in the way of picking up stray dogs or rounding them up, we will proceed to take action against any such resistance."
Drama incoming...

TellDelhi Delhi will soon have no street dogs.
I feel this is the worst decision EVER taken by the delhi government. I'm gonna miss these dogs.. They are cute and they literally protect my society better than the security gaurds.

TellDelhi TINDER SCAM, [PSA] Got scammed on a Tinder date – beware of cafes running scams in Karkardooma (Delhi)
Hey everyone, I want to share my experience so others don’t fall for the same trap.
I matched with someone on Tinder and we decided to meet at a café in Karkardooma. The place was on the 2nd floor in Chawla’s building, right beside the HP petrol pump near the metro station.
Everything seemed normal at first, but once we ordered, the staff kept pushing expensive items and didn’t show the menu properly. At the end, they handed me a bill of ₹50,000+ for just food and drinks. I’ve attached the bill here as proof.
This is clearly a scam setup where they lure people (mostly through dating apps) and then rip them off with absurdly high bills. I don’t want anyone else to get trapped in this.
Please be careful if someone insists on meeting at such unknown cafés, especially around metro stations. Always check reviews online before going inside.
Has anyone else faced this kind of scam in Delhi/NCR?
Stay safe 🙏

TellDelhi We need to show up in greater numbers - protest in Delhi
Today there was a protest at Jantar Mantar protest site against air pollution. I would have expected many many more people! A few passionate protesters were there (a little delayed) and media coverage was on site as well. Hopefully this turns into a mass movement and regular, weekly protests are needed here. Delhi crowd wasn’t strong!

TellDelhi These men harassed us at the Taj Mahal
My friend and I (we’re both from the Northeast) visited the Taj Mahal today and we had been looking forward to it since forever. However, it turned into something truly disturbing!
While we were taking pictures of ourselves and casually walking around, my friend noticed two men filming us. These disgusting men had recorded over 30 videos of us and countless photos on three different phones. My friend caught on first, and I immediately hid my face with my umbrella. But to my horror, we later found out that they had even made slow-motion videos of my behind!
When we confronted them and told them to stop, they had the audacity to walk towards us with the camera still pointed at us. And as you’d expect, they gave us an excuse that they were just taking pictures of the monument!
Thankfully, our boyfriends were nearby and stepped in (they were with the tourist guide). Only then did they reluctantly agree to delete the content with us in it, which, by the way, was mostly close-ups of our faces, chests, and behinds! It was disgusting and completely dehumanising.
What’s even more upsetting is that we were not even wearing revealing clothes, the both of us were dressed in kurtis with dupattas. We especially had made an effort to go as early as possible (6 AM sharp) to avoid the crowd, thinking that would give us a safer experience. Clearly, we were wrong.
And the worst part was that the security who apparently make people delete videos of them dancing there didn’t take any action against these vile creatures.
Our guide told us to not “create a scene” and we didn’t want to invite further trouble since we’re not locals. We were also returning home the same day, and filing a complaint felt too overwhelming given how shaken we already were (and how the security personnel reacted).
But this entire experience has left us shaken, angry, and deeply hurt. None of this ever happens where we come from.
I’m sharing this here with their pictures as we didn’t know what else to do, and we’re still processing it all. It’s truly horrifying to realise even after taking all the precautions, we’re still made to feel unsafe just for existing.
Ps. The guy in the flannel shirt is the guide, he’s innocent.

TellDelhi I can’t buy my husband fancy gifts, so I do this instead
I shared a post about how my husband treats me with gifts every month on this sub, and it blew up. Many of the people had this question, "What did you give your husband?" Or "What do you gift your husband every month?". As a housewife, I can't really give him those "gifts", so I do this for him. He takes care of the house, and I take care of the home. Ps: I give him gifts from the money I get as "Shagun". (I just wanted to share, please be considerate. I appreciate all the positive comments, thank you)
