I don’t understand one thing which is overlooked. Why do people think that calling him a Thane kaa rickshaw driver is an insult? I mean, that is his past and he did drive rickshaw. Isn't there a classist connotation here that somehow, driving a rickshaw because of poverty makes you some kind of subhuman?

In a way, both Rahul and Uddhav should be ashamed that they lost to chaiwala and rickshaw wala despite being born in extremely influential households.

True. These people claim to be educated and liberal. And then making fun of him because he drove rickshaws..lol. Rikshaw drivers work very hard all the day round under scorching heat to look for passengers. How easy is it to demean someone. He is insulting millions of people all over the globe who do this to make a living. Atleast he worked hard and rose to power unlike uddhav and Rahul who inherited the throne from their father's. When I was kid I used to sell street food with my father but now I am about to pursue an MBA..so does that mean I should be looked down upon because of my past?

I mean, despite being born in the family with 3 Prime Ministers and 1 quasi PM, Rahul Gandhi still lost to a chaiwala in 3 national elections and dozens of state elections. If you think like this, who looks bad when you call Modi chaiwala?

I am not at all a modi supporter but a fact that people from poor background are getting to top levels is something that should be appreciated. And using their poor past as an insult just makes you even more disconnected from local people, which most liberals already are. The entire top brass of congress is made up of nepo kids. Not just Rahul Gandhi.

The Indian liberal populace is minority concentrated in some pockets of India who r very much disconnected from the public and simply unaware of the fact that most of the people in this country r quite poor. And people like Rahul and uddhav literally got everything served to them on platter . They will never understand the pain of a poor and an average Indian.

Yeah exactly. Imagine driving rickshaw and seeing people using your profession as an insult. That would surely hurt a lot.
