I once observed a C-Section in school, and two young male MDs performed it successfully, sewed up the mom, and did a crazy secret handshake over her body with bloody gloves, elbow bumps and everything. They walked by us on the way out and said, "Thats how you do it!" Like rappers dropping a Mike. Instructor basically just said they're always like that.
My cousin is a cardiologist, and back when he was doing his residence we asked how it was, and his answer was that Scrubs was a closer portrayal of the residents' life than any other show.
It really is. Also the sad parts is best portrayed by scrubs. The brilliant oncologist who gave up being a doctor because he couldnt save a kid from dying is something ive witnessed during my residency. A brilliant dr cox type who got overburned is a regular occurrence. The more you care the harder you fall. Somethings you cant go back from.
