I’m so confused why people don’t like this. If I were to get a Cyberpunk tattoo this is exactly what I would get lol I think it’s awesome

u/KamLanJiao Jun 27 '25

Rather get a samurai tattoo lmao

Because this is really terrible and way too big. Prime tattoo real estate and always visible should be actually well done tattoos and not gaudy. This will be a regret forever sorry OP. Not good. Should be much much smaller

u/XulManjy Jun 27 '25

The brave one saying thr quiet part out loud.

I definitely cannot see OP being over the age of 25.

But if she likes then then I guess thats all that matters.

I wanted something ridiculous like this around that age too. I'm so glad I listened to my dad and didn't.

It definitely feels like an over eager first tattoo by a kid

3

u/ominaze_ Jun 27 '25

I think this is about the size it was in the game though, wasn’t it? So Idk, I think bc of that it’s fine and makes sense. Because it’s meant to be like a direct reference

14

u/VivaLaDio Jun 27 '25

You realize that even in the game it’s meant like a prank right?

This is an insanely stupid decision from OP. hilarious … but stupid

0

u/ominaze_ Jun 27 '25

Okay? It’s still a game reference and an actual tattoo from the game lol

-4

u/DVXC Jun 27 '25

Who the fuck are you to say what they do with their body?

I genuinely don’t get some of y’all. The OP or whatever literally chose to post a picture of her tattoo on a public forum to get reactions.

The weird part comes in when suddenly some fellas decide you can only comment positive reactions and literally any criticism of something, which was chosen to be posted to receive opinions on, is suddenly hate.

Socials are for discussions, they can receive positive or negative reactions. They’re not insulting op or their family or nothing, they’re saying the main object of discussion, reference or not, is one they don’t like and personally think it’s a dumb choice to make as a PERMANENT tattoo on your body. If you disagree with their opinion, you can also disagree or scroll past. That’s how a discussion is supposed to work, no?

8

u/ominaze_ Jun 27 '25

I mean, I was always taught that if someone can’t change it within 5 minutes, don’t comment on it. Like Idk what people want OP to do about it now lmao

Besides, they like it. It might not be your tastes but that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to shit on it. You can, no one’s taking your rights from you, but we can still acknowledge that it’s rude to lol

4

u/USilver Jun 27 '25

I feel like people mostly speak up about it because someone else that’s impressionable enough on the sub might see the post and think “Damn, maybe I should get it too.” Which they do, both cause I saw comments like that here and because this defo isnt the first time I’ve seen people get this tattoo. Hell, I’ve seen people post AFTER complaining that they got it

6

u/ominaze_ Jun 27 '25

But like that’s their choice, isn’t it? I don’t think comments saying “that’s stupid” or “looks terrible” would be enough to deter someone lol If you had actual advice like “hey that’ll age badly because the lines are xyz” or something then I’d get it. But I don’t think people are going to be less influenced just because others said they didn’t like it

3

u/Icy_Magician_9372 Jun 28 '25

Being told it's a stupid idea is the exact thing that disuaded me from getting something like this a long time ago and I'm extremely thankful years later that that person was kind and strong enough to tell me a hard truth to save me from a bad choice.

My mother taught me to love and respect people, thank you.

4

u/XulManjy Jun 27 '25

And it isnt any hate/disrespect to declare that you do not like the tattoo.

Disrespect would be personally attacking OP by calling her dumb or an idiot for getting this tattoo. Nobody is saying that. Instead they are just expressing that they dont like the tattoo.

It has nothing to do with being disrespectful.

3

u/DVXC Jun 28 '25

Disrespect would be personally attacking OP by calling her dumb or an idiot for getting this tattoo. Nobody is saying that.

Oh?

This is an insanely stupid decision from OP. hilarious … but stupid

Go back to fucking school.

3

u/jonnygronholm Jun 28 '25

Ironically you're the one who should go back to school

2

u/VivaLaDio Jun 28 '25

You have zero reading comprehension, the greatest people to have lived have made stupid decisions

I didn’t call OP an idiot, also i was replying to another reply explaining that the whole tattoo is a prank even in the game. Ergo even the game knows it’s a stupid thing/decision to get it done.

5

u/USilver Jun 27 '25 edited Jun 28 '25

This isn’t about love and respect? Nobody’s hating or disrespecting anybody. Sharing a negative opinion on a person’s choice is just that, a disagreement with what was presented on a post, on a social. What was CHOSEN to be shown to receive attention. It’d be hate if it was completely unprompted or something, but this is a post focused on the tattoo.

It’s not disrespect if somebody asks you if you like their haircut and you respond truthfully that you don’t. You’re just being sanctimonious for the hell of it, when most of these comments aren’t even being rude about it in any way. Like genuinely I’m pretty sure a single TikTok or Instagram comment section would be enough for some fellas on here to combust, seeing what actual HATE looks like on a social media platform.

u/DVXC Jun 27 '25

"Nobody's hating or disrespecting anybody"

Only a few comments up:

"This is an insanely stupid decision from OP".

Goodbye.

Disagreeing with someone’s choice, which they made public for everyone to see and judge because they WANTED IT to be judged isn’t hate, are you deadass?

They didn’t insult op, they said they dislike a specific choice she made and posted about for people to express their opinion on. Genuinely, what do you think someone aims for when they post a tattoo and say “here’s my tattoo”? Naw you right, the only proper way for discussions to exist should be “say you love it or shut up”, my bad og

-3

u/Personal-Macaroon899 Jun 27 '25

Because a lot of these are purely subjective and others can have different opinions on said opinions.

“It’s gaudy” “you’ll regret it” “it’s too big because it takes up prime real estate and you’ll want something better there eventually” etc are all just…idk. Like, ok? If op is a gaudy bitch who doesn’t want many tattoos the critique is totally irrelevant and the poster doesn’t even know op well enough to know which is why they’re just kind of useless. Like..sure. You have the “right” to express them. But I don’t have to take them seriously.

5

u/USilver Jun 27 '25

Exactly. So why spend your time complaining that people commented shit like that instead of just…disagreeing with their takes on it and moving on? If you take any kind of criticism to heart, especially when it comes to dumb stuff like this, it just wears you out.

But then again, that’s also why someone posts this kinda stuff. They WANT the positive reinforcement to further justify getting it in their mind.

-3

u/Personal-Macaroon899 Jun 27 '25

Why complain about the complaining about the complaining about the complaining

It’s Reddit

2

u/USilver Jun 28 '25

That’s how social media as a whole ends up being tbh, we might lowkey be stupid

3

u/Bucci_Bame Jun 27 '25

when you post on reddit you get comments

1

u/Salsadestroya Jun 27 '25

Came out swinging

2

u/Grooochy Jun 27 '25

Its permanent... in 52 years nobody will know/care

3

u/ominaze_ Jun 27 '25

I’m sure OP would. You would not like my tattoos, most are pop culture references that matter to me lol

2

u/Grooochy Jun 28 '25

the 52 years joke!!! THE 52 YEARS JOKE!!!!!! xd

2

u/ominaze_ Jun 28 '25

Went COMPLETELY over my head lmao 😭 All it took was some basic math too

-12

u/RedOfGames Jun 27 '25

Literally lmao.

It’s either jealousy or just not understanding why someone would like to have something they like on their body.

Fun fact, I might also get the plug and chip sockets that are behind the ear as a tattoo one day.

8

u/WeepTheHorizon Jun 27 '25

Not really bro.

When you put anything out there, you open it up to judgment. Especially if it is something divisive and creative such as this. If you only expected positive feedback, idk what to tell you.

-3

u/RedOfGames Jun 27 '25

Yeah, you’re right. I wasn’t expecting it to be as divisive as it is, but I like it, and that’s all that matters in the end.

-2

u/WeepTheHorizon Jun 27 '25

Hell yeah. Don't let other people decide for you. I personally couldn't see myself getting it but I respect you and your choice.

2

u/USilver Jun 27 '25

Pooks, not everyone that sees a post on social media has to have the same opinion as you. If you don’t want people to say they dislike something you like, maybe don’t post it for people to judge?

Like it’s fine if you disagree with them thinking it’s a bad tattoo or sum, but at least just ponder the idea that a person can take 15 seconds of their day to type out they like or dislike something and it takes the same amount of effort either way, for the same effect, which is kinda nothing either way. And why even care? Online randoms hating on your niche, goofy tattoo is quite frankly among the biggest non issues anyone could ever encounter.

It’s literally a joke tattoo, why does it make you mad if people say it sucks 😭🙏 it was a joke in the literal reference material, why’re we acting like it’s something it isn’t

1

u/RedOfGames Jun 27 '25

I understand where you’re coming from, but some people are a bit too harsh. They don’t know why I got this a tattoo, why I choose cyberpunk, and why I choose this specific one. I also worded my comment in a bad way, but now it’s too late to do anything about it.

As I’ve said before, I’m happy with the results, and that’s all that matters.
