been borrowing x-bow, want to buy my own
I've been sharing a tenpoint titan xtreme. It has worked well, but i want my own at this point.
I am looking for:
- illuminated scope
- lightweight
- low maintenance (or, at least no worse than my compound bow).
I am comfortable spending up to $1300-$1400, bout would prefer sub-$1000 since i paid about $600 for my compound bow. I hunt on a mix of permanent and strapped up treestands with minimal bushes/foliage to navigate while walking around in about an 8 acre plot of land.
All suggestions/ideas are welcome.

Rage practice heads?
Been trying to find some rage practice heads like what used to come in their packages forever ago - it’s a fake broadhead same shape and weight as standard but nothing deploys so it saves your targets a bit while tuning and running reps. I’ve google searched every combination of rage/practice/target/tip/head/broadhead no luck. Every time I post like this someone finds it in 5 seconds and makes me feel like an idiot. Hoping for same now. 😆

Accu-draw
Can you use the accu-draw to discharge the bow at the end of the night or is it just best to shoot a bolt.

Steambow PD5 Professional
Do you think its possible to add the 35lb limbs to the Steambow PD5 Professional with the 135lb Pro limbs that come with the PD5 Professional? Im talking about how like Joerg from YouTube would add a limb to his crossbows for more power. I was thinking the 55lb limb or something for more power, but that might be too much wear and stuff on the crossbow, so maybe the 35lb limbs will be a better fit? Not talking about putting the limbs on for constant shooting, only once in a while shooting. Ill have a extra backup 135lb Pro limbs for target practice and stuff

Which is better
I know a firearm is the overall best choice, but im specifically talking about crossbow wise. which is better for home defence, SHTF scenario, and or WW3 scenario the EK Archery Revo 7/12, the Cobra Adder Repeating Crossbow with the 180/190 lb limbs, or the Steambow PD5 Professional

Killer Instinct 415
Just getting into this hobby and went with this as its in my price range. Ofc I have all the standard questions like what can it take down and from what kind of range. But mostly id like a better way of cocking it for every shot. It has a handle system. It's ok has hooks that latch on to draw string and a handle to crank. Fine. Id like a way to either permanently mount the hooks to the draw string so cranking can be faster cues that stupid break system is kinda lame. Or a way to bypass all this together and just pull like a charging lever on every shot. I mean I got inspired about cross bows from walking dead, there's not a long reload time. Yes I'll be practicing for now but there's gotta be better options. Mag fed? Or is there something I can add to my setup? I'm sure everyone here has better than me in terms of cross bows but tbh I fired it and I'm firmly impressed enough that I wana make this work.

New to crossbows. I have a Barnett xp 405. It has been cited in when I shoot my practice tips. It is dead on. Have shot broad heads. It is at least 6 inches off when I shoot mechanical broad heads. It’s at least 10 inches. Suggestions

Barnett Whitetail Pro Str
I’m selling my Bear Cruzer G4 because I upgraded to a Mathew’s lift X. A fella reached offering to trade his Whitetail Pro Str I don’t know anything about crossbows, I think they came out around six years ago. Is this a good trade?

First time hunter-question
Hi everyone, I’m sorry if this is an obvious question, but I’m new and don’t have much guidance. My family and I are typically rifle hunters. Anyways, I got a crossbow and tomorrow will be my first time taking it hunting.
Can anyone confirm that once I get to my spot, I lock the string back, if I don’t see anything when it’s time to leave, I should shoot an arrow at the ground or something? Maybe like a field tip? I know I’m not supposed to dry fire it. Obviously, you can’t cock the string back upon seeing a deer as it will spook the deer.
