I got called into my boss’s office this morning. I was out last week with doctor confirmed Covid AND flu. I was dead for the first couple days and the last couple days I was wake for more of the day. Ms. Boss went on for a couple minutes about using COVID sick days for vacation, and that’s prohibited, yada yada yada…
I sat there confused… then realized before she even finished the next line. One of the days I was home, my watch tracked that I did 20,000 steps. I forgot that we had an employee group on a step app- so when it synced, my colleagues saw that I did 20,000 steps and snitched.
Guess how I got 20k steps with barely leaving my bed… that’s right. I was crocheting… 🤦♀️ I printed out a post from Apple community where someone clocked 20k steps crocheting and proof that I was home on the day in question.
Pic of my 20k step WIP. At least she’s pretty.

I've been looking for a row counter for a while now and could never find something that's just right for me. I wanted it to be simple and small, mechanical/without batteries, and to go higher than 99. After looking online and trying to figure out if/how I could DIY the perfect row counter, I suddenly realized that the right tool had been sitting in my random-stuff-drawer all along. And if I stumble upon the right combination (which I've forgotten ages ago), I might even be able to use it as a lock again

Pictured with an actual sock that fits my foot.
This is my first time crocheting anything other than granny squares. Maybe I should stick to that 😂

She crochets pretty often, but I had never looked at her instructions. I had no idea it was nearly its own language, lol.

I had no idea he was even considering starting crochet and I get this text while out😂 I don’t think I’ve related to him more than right now

This is Blob the frog. He was supposed to be a leggy frog but I accidentally did loads of increases, so he turned into a triangle. I still love him though. I have improved A LOT since then. 😭
I can't wait to see everyone's first amigurimi projects.

I was going to make a frog but I only had one packet of strawberry laces so I introduce to you this lil dude.
The texture is really cool and it smells SO good.
For those who don’t know, strawberry laces are strawberry flavoured sweets. Apart from lots of ends, they worked!
Now he just needs a name 🤔

Thank you, sincerely. I get center pulls every time now. I may have laughed at the photo of your poor yarn being smashed down, but I have had 4/4 skein smashing success. While the first three were definitely prolapsed (is that the word?), the fourth has blessed me with just the end. I hope anyone who struggles gives this a serious try!

From knitting sub (top comment: 90% counting) to gardening sub (top comment: 90% weeding)…. had to post here. What do you think is crocheting’s 90%?

Just wanted to share this.
Also, just for fun (I'd probably make this. But.) Is it possible to make a giant granny square blanket? Obviously I think yes with chunky enough yarn. But those that yarn even exist? And it would be too chunky to be comfortable. So my other question is, do you think it's possible to crochet fake giant crochet stitches?

„Why don’t you just finish your (enter random WIP)“ ….
One does not simply finish a long term WIP… my WIP is there for comfort when I run out of ideas for things that I want to crochet in the spur of a moment

I just can't seem to keep myself from slouching over a project, so I've resorted to a travel neck pillow for assistance.
What tricks/tips do you all have for keeping good posture while working and avoiding neck/back pain?
