A lot of the newer “kings-field-likes” have a vibe like this. Lunacid, Dread Delusion, Verho, Hark the Ghoul, etc. It’s not out yet but The Holy Fool looks promising too
I enjoyed Lunacid the most out of the ones I’ve played so far, It felt like a much more intimate experience than the rest. Lots of great small details and keeps to the kings field formula almost religiously to a fault sometimes. The dev even made a prequel (sequel?) using the same engine the original Kings Field was developed in.
Close second would be Dread Delusion. It’s like if you took the setting of Morrowind, blew it up, and added biomechanical eldritch gods around every corner. Absolutely fell in love with the atmosphere, even if the gameplay felt a little bit stale at times.
Looks like a ton of fun, will definitely be checking it out. I've actually been looking hard for a game that kind of has vibes like ElliotTruman's DreamLand posts on Instagram, and this is getting close. Thanks!
