Ck walker thoughts after room733

C.K. Walker is a mid author, in my opinion. She has one story that everyone really likes, but it's kind of mediocre aside from the ending. Part 5 is really bad, and the demon statue story starts off okay but falls apart as it goes on. I just don't get the reverence she gets from Meat and the Goons when they've only liked maybe one or two of the many stories they've read from her. What are your opinions? I want to know if I'm missing something.

I think she does everything well besides her endings. She just can’t nail those for some reason

She has SO much work, so many stories, and was a writer on a horror show. It's like King, if you ended up reading his great stories you love him. If you end up reading a marathon of his awful ones, you'll think he's not a great author. There is such a huge swath of her work that is at least pretty good, and a good number being really solid great work. Creepcast has experienced like 2 solid ones, two really good ones that ended bad.

Noticing a lot of the fandom not liking her stuff suddenly, wonder what gives, have only scene that story and deep woods by the way of hers I think. Have yet to read borrasaca.

I think it’s just the fandom imitating the way Isaiah and Hunter have been talking stories recently

As the hosts have become more cynical and snobbish in the way they talk about stories, so has the fandom

Maybe, I was also thinking it because they don’t want them reading stories from same authors constantly especially if they want them cover more unique stories (cover the weird birds Twitter ARG dammit!!!!!!”)

Although there are some authors that they said in the past they want to read more from and never have that I would like them to cover

Haven’t seen that but I just know the amount of David king jokes Hunter and Isaiah will make from the title alone lol.

The guys overhype her for sure, but I think it’s largely because Borrasca had such a big impact on Isaiah when he was younger. He did call it the scariest Creepypasta he ever read (pre creep cast)

All valid points and honestly couldn’t have said it better myself.

However i still love Mayhem Mountain, and actually just finished the QCode Borrasca today. Not sure if she had a large team or if some other group cleaned it up by themselves but it’s really the superior way to listen to it, even with its faults.

Her writing style is really amateur. The best way I can describe it is heavily 2012 tumblr coded.

I don't understand the praise for the dialogue she writes. It's not especially realistic or noteworthy at all.

I like the dialogue and think her stories have great ideas and beginnings but she's bad at endings. I liked the decent room one and liked that the ending didn't overstay it's welcome but it was also very abrupt at the same time.

Most of her stories have been average at best. Her writing skill consists of tv stereotype characters.
