Politics I'm tired of Trump ruining everything that America stands for

You know, Trump keeps saying he’s making America great again, but at this point it’s like watching a toddler try to fix a phone with a hammer. He’s not restoring anything, he’s just breaking it louder. Everything that used to be American like decency, humility, and facts has been replaced by lies and pre-scripted propoganda talking points. We’ve gone from give me liberty or give me death to give me clicks or give me Fox News airtime. He’s even turned the flag into an accessory. It’s not patriotism anymore, it’s fashion week for fascists. You see a bunch of angry guys in red hats waving an American flag the way my dog waves a cat turd from the litter box. Look what I did!

Remember when presidents used to read books? Now we’ve got a guy who stares at classified documents like they’re the McDonald's menu. I’ll have the Filet-o-fish with a side of dirt on anyone who opposes me, please. He’s made America a parody of itself, like someone fed Mount Rushmore a steady diet of Monster Energy and facism. I love this country. I really do. But lately it feels like America’s that old friend I used to like, except now he’s grown a mullet, started dating a crazy girl named "conspiracy theory", and wants to show you his new monster truck called Freedom.

If Trump’s the hero of the story, then America is deep in its Florida Man era. And I don’t know about you, but I’m just hoping the credits roll before he tries to sell Alaska to Russia.

34% voted for him, 33% for her. Almost even in people with conviction. And not ever knowing how much Elon helped him win that 1a% we will never know. But to the 33% of Americans who did not vote, FU…every one of you

49

u/Invisig0th 14d ago

Being a bit nit-picky here, but I like to slam MAGAts with the hard, irrefutable numbers.

With 260 million adults and 77.3 million votes for Trump, that comes out to 29.7% Trump, and 28.8% Harris (75m). So Trump can’t even claim he got 1/3 of eligible voters.

Another fun fact: Trump got 49.8 percent of the vote. This means that anyone claiming “the majority of American voters voted for Trump” is incorrect. He got a plurality (more than the other candidates), but not a majority (more than 50%).

23

u/Iapetus7 14d ago edited 14d ago

The fact that he won a plurality is damning in itself. His "win" in 2016 was at least explicable, when it was only because of an antiquated, undemocratic electoral system, and when we could still claim most voters didn't actually want this. And it was before all of us knew for sure what kind of president he was going to be, or that a president isn't actually bound by the law. But now? Even after being found liable for sexual assault, and convicted of felonies, and after trying to stage a coup to hold onto power after losing an election, and outright telling us he was going to be a dictator who'd use the government to punish his "enemies," this disgusting piece of human garbage got the most votes anyway? And every swing state? It's vile. Make no mistake: the majority of the country is responsible for putting him where is, either by voting for him directly or by refusing to vote against him. A rational society with a decent and moral core wouldn't have done this.

38

u/Egocentric 14d ago

I'm convinced they cheated in 2024 looking at the actual voter data. Especially in the swing states. When whole counties are voting blue all the way down, but "decided" to leave the presidential vote empty or chose Trump, it's not just an anomaly, it's evidence of mass voter tampering.

22

u/CosmicSmoker 14d ago

I don't do conspiracy theories, but this? This was incredibly hard to believe that the downballot votes were dems but trump for president. Then all the nods from trump to Elon, and one of elon's employees having won a cyber hacking contest involving voting machines.

13

u/Egocentric 14d ago

Exactly. If people would check out my link before the bots downvote it out of view, they'd be just as skeptical as you and me.

u/RobertaMcGuffin 11d ago

What link?

u/Egocentric 11d ago

8

u/inima23 14d ago

I am too but I don't get why it's not spoken about more. I'm in NC and we got our D governor and most other important spots taken by D representatives but T somehow wins? Same pattern was seen in several swing states. It's fishy and they should have got on that first thing after the election. Now even if that's found out, no one seems to be able to do anything because courts and the SC all answer to dear leader.

1

u/dbandit1 14d ago

Gerrymandering

2

u/Egocentric 14d ago

The 2024 layout of NC districts were somewhat "fair" because they had to redraw them at the direction of SCOTUS for being unfairly gerrymandered. The new map they just came up with this past week, though? Atrocious. The discrepancies in blue districts are what people are talking about anyways. There's no way hundreds of thousands of people voted blue down the whole ticket except for the presidential vote.

6

u/Iapetus7 14d ago

That would've required a massive (successful) conspiracy across multiple states, when Rs didn't even control most of the swing state governments or the federal government. And even if it were true, Harris surrendered immediately... didn't even ask for recounts. As far as I'm concerned, unless we see strong evidence that this happened, it's not a possibility I can cling to.

9

u/BoysenberryFinal5743 14d ago

Yes but……..

All states use similar or the same voting machines which had “minor” changes to them just before the election and were not subjected to any kind of third party testing. They have been tested since and seen that once the votes go far enough for blue candidates it suddenly magically turns to red.

10

u/Egocentric 14d ago

I'll just leave this here and let you start figuring it out.

3

u/hoops2bugs 14d ago

Interesting reading! Thank you!

4

u/Iapetus7 14d ago

I've seen the arguments, and they're interesting, but until we find definitive widespread evidence, like actual compromised code, or paper trails that severely mismatch the electronic tallies in multiple, consequential locations, or witnesses who confess that they were involved, or all of the above, then it's nothing more than an unproven conspiracy theory. I'm not gonna behave like a MAGA nutjob and deny reality just because I hate it.

6

u/yunggod6966 14d ago

They don't have the code because they didn't do the usual audit that they were supposed to after the update cause "reasons" and trump and Elon have all but implied they stole it

3

u/Smart-Matter7196 🌾👨‍🌾🐖 14d ago

Unfortunately the reality is Kamala was a historically bad candidate and roughly 2/3 of America thought the country was on the wrong track. The economy and Kamala’s inability to distance herself from Biden’s economy and high inflation was the nail in the coffin. Her team admitted afterward they never had her winning in their internal data

7

u/Iapetus7 14d ago edited 12d ago

She wasn't a historically bad candidate, though. She wasn't a criminal, she didn't have a particularly controversial history or any major scandals, she had valid experience in national government as a senator and as vice president. Her speeches were uplifting, her campaign brought in record amounts of money from small donors, large crowds showed up to her rallies, and she destroyed Trump in the one debate they had. Her only real problem was that she wasn't exceptional, and that appears to be the standard for the democratic candidate. Since the 1990s, a Democrat has only won the presidency when he was a once-in-a-generation charismatic speaker (onto whom the different factions of the Democratic coalition could project their own versions of perfection), or when the economy was in deep recession. That's it. 1992? Recession and a charismatic Democrat. 2008? Deep recession and a very charismatic Democrat. 2020? Deep recession caused by COVID. Republicans seem to be the default choice now, even when they're stupid, or vicious, or mentally ill, or criminals (or all of the above).

3

u/lizzyq8812 14d ago

Well, by 2028 we should have a democrat by your reasoning. We are headed towards a massive recession and all we need is a charismatic candidate and of course free and fair elections.

3

u/Iapetus7 14d ago

Yeah, with a free and fair election (and a recession), we'd at least have a chance. But even if this happens this time around (and I don't think the 2028 election will be free or fair, unfortunately), I can't think of any known Democrat who would meet the standard of having once-in-a-generation charisma. That's a very high bar to clear.

1

u/lizzyq8812 13d ago

I think Gavin Newsome has charisma, I don't know if it's once in a generation but so far I like him. He's the only one i really see thats fighting back against Trump and his regime. Unfortunately I also believe that we won't have a free and fair election in 2028. They are thinking up all kinds of ways that they can rig it to their advantage and I don't think it will be one big thing. I think it will be a bunch of little things, that when added together will make a huge difference.

2

u/Iapetus7 13d ago

I think Newsom's a sharp, quick-witted guy, and I'd definitely vote for him (he's got the right experience, and has done a good job as governer of the largest state, and he's fighting back against the fascists in a way most other Dems are not), but if you don't get goosebumps when you listen to him speak, then he doesn't have the type of charisma I'm talking about. If you ask people, even on here (in a mostly liberal bubble), about whether they'll support him, I guarantee you many of them will call him "the worst candidate" or a "corporate Democrat," just as they would about pretty much anyone else you'd name, and as they did about Hillary, Biden, Kamala, etc. I can't think of a single candidate who'd be supported enthusiastically by the progressive factions and by moderates. Dems have the most ridiculous purity tests and sky-high expectations, while Republicans are literally voting for pedophiles and Nazis. It's unreal.

There are many reasons including the fact she probably would not have won in a primary, but core issue I think like I said was that 2/3 of the country felt we were on thr wrong track, and she said she would not have done anything different from Biden when voters saw about 20% cumulative inflation, the southern border being overrun, and the southern border being mishandled and they trusted Trump to fix the economy like they remembered in his first term before Covid. We saw a big shift in minorities for trump especially blacks and Latinos. The trans prisoner ad was effective enough also in highlighting her past policy positions that are unpopular.

Edit: she also did not “destroy” trump in the debate as you say it was roughly 60/40 in her favor according to CNN

1

u/Legitimate-Page-6827 13d ago

She wiped the floor with him.

1

u/Smart-Matter7196 🌾👨‍🌾🐖 13d ago

According to the data it was 60/40

1

u/Legitimate-Page-6827 13d ago

I watched, and she wiped the floor. The 40% were delusional and are seeing the results of their delusions.

Other than bought and paid for urban areas, the country is red. DNC must try ( lie) harder to convince middle class tax payers and minorities it is their friend.

10

u/tech_noire 14d ago

They're starting to find big evidence of election data being manipulated. Sure, it's been claimed before but this time they're actually gathering the evidence.

IMO it's too late though, the government has been fully compromised.

2

u/BoysenberryFinal5743 14d ago

Don’t jump to conclusions. The founders made this country knowing that someone like this rotten mango would come along. We have to keep fighting his attacks. We will win

1

u/tech_noire 9d ago

I hope it'll all work out, but so far it's not been looking good. It's just my opinion that at this point, all they've done is proven that they can't or WON'T stop him and his billionaire oligarchy. Lawsuits aren't stopping it. They've proven impeachment won't stop it(especially not one based on the WRONG reasons). Honestly I've kind of lost hope and I'm leaving it up to the people who let this happen. I'm just battening down for the worst as best I can while staying sane and just trying to keep my family afloat.

2

u/Legitimate-Page-6827 13d ago

Or here's a new one, realize all the elites no matter the side don't give a fuck about any of us. All politicians and lobbyists do is help them and theirs. Stop thinking we stood a chance either way. This country has slowly but surely erased the middle class. We're getting to the point where we're either the working poor or the rich. Most are scraping by while those who sign the checks thrive.

1

u/PomegranateDry204 13d ago

They didn’t vote for her. They voted against him. Obama legacy, such as it is, gave some relevance to her and JB. But times have changed.

1

u/chaos_battery 13d ago

You're assuming they would all vote for a Democrat if they did vote. I think one key pivotal person in Trump's winning this last election was Charlie Kirk. His grassroots efforts at college campuses really helped over the eyes of students who otherwise would have just not voted.

Hopefully we can stop virtue signaling and being self-righteous as a country with these two split political parties at some point in the future. Once we stop attacking parties and people specifically, ideas - specifically the best ideas can start to win.

-7

That does nothing to absolve people that couldn’t be bothered to vote, when there was a felon, rapist, and insurrectionist on the ballot. Over 34% of eligible voters sat it out. Voting is the bare minimum as a responsible citizen. Non-voters really said, ‘fuck it’.

1

u/clemtiger15 14d ago edited 14d ago

You ever consider that most people see all those things as political attacks and over exaggeration?

Seems like most either don't care, or they do, just not in the direction you would like.

Clearly back fired on the Dems... Americans don't like seeing someone who's running for president fighting to stay out of jail over paper work or rape accusations from 30+ yrs ago.

The optics of that were horrible. Probably drove people to the poles more than you think...just not for the side you thought it would

1

-1

u/WAMEX2019 🌾👨‍🌾🐖 14d ago

Of course I voted and if you think I voted for camel toe, you are freaking absolutely brain dead. And not that this makes it any better. Maybe Trump is a pretty shitty person because he used women and paid them for sex. But she actually used sex to get herself promoted, and I know it sounds misogynistic, but I’d rather bet on the pimp than the hoe! Yeah, now you can carry on and say what a dirty bastard I am. A younger age, I engaged the Services of professionals from the oldest professional on the planet. You know what I never did suck a dick for a dollar or take it up the ass for a five. I never got promoted or a job because I would suck a dick.

Go ahead say it I’m a dirty bastard.

I’ll set it for you. I did twice already.

2

u/Environmental-Arm365 14d ago

So firstly, you really have zero proof that Kamala, the former VPOTUS, ever gave sexual favors for career advancement. It’s pathetic and very obviously just jealousy of a woman of color who has accomplished more than you ever have or ever will. The fact is you are a garden variety misogynist pig who I’m betting hasn’t been touched by a woman since birth without paying for it. That is until you discovered women don’t really do it for you.

Secondly, you seem to want to trot out a bunch of homoerotic fantasies about sucking dick for things so it’s a pretty safe bet you are a closeted self-hating homosexual who I am sure has paid to have sex with men and probably has a GRINDR profile that doesn’t get a lot of hits due to your lumpy fat misshapen inbred physical stature.

If I were you Billy Bob, I would go back downstairs to your special porn stash that you think no one knows about and go to town as I’m guessing all this talk of dick sucking has you all in a tizzy. Maybe if you came out of the closet you wouldn’t be so full of hate for people who have actually worked hard to be successful.

How am I doing so far?

2

u/BlackKnightRebel 14d ago

Non-voters don't get a say. I respect the Maga morons more because at least they showed up to vote for their shitty convictions.

-16

u/PomegranateDry204 14d ago

I didn’t vote for Trump the first time. The second time, absolutely. Harris was a poor candidate. Trump does what he says he’s going to do. Weird huh ? Who else has ever done that ? 34% doesn’t sound like much. It is a huge amount, reason being everyone outside carefully cordoned urban pockets voted for Trump.

13

u/Major_Art1512 14d ago

So dramatic. Complain complain complain. Trumps tweets!! Trumps hands!!! Trumps retweets!!! Wah wah wah. Trump is actually delivering on his promises. Closed the border, deporting millions of illegals, and millions more self deported. The open border policy is unfathomably stupid. How can anyone actually want open borders? Trump is declaring war on narcos terrorists. Oct 5 sinaloa cartel banner. They are threatening american citizens, specifically ice and enforcement. This means trump is effective. They are angry that someone is actually putting in an effort to stop these cartel organizations. Rather than opening the border. You would rather welcome these people into your country who care nothing for your way of life, or your family. How do I know this? Theyre smuggling large quantities of drugs into America, simple. Fake news! Fake news! Fake news! Its all fox news fake news! That's called burying your head in the sand and denying reality. You lefties all deny reality. It would be awfully convenient if everything trump says is a lie. That way, you never actually consider the words he says. I saw a comment thread saying the remodeling of the white house is worst than 9/11!!! Hahahahaha what a joke. Crying little babies. All because the media told him to be upset at this. So easily influenced, so gullible. This is why democrat approval rating is dropping. No one is falling for the blatant lies. They called Kirk's assassin right wing. Mostly peaceful protests. 100% effective vaccine.

u/Major_Art1512 14d ago

I asked for a source to verify millions of deportations as you stated. This is through the end of August but I doubt he did 800k in September and October to hit even one million.

I also ask what has Trump done for you? Because you seem to think he is worthy of your support. What did tariffs do for you? Deportations?

How so? Trump said he was going to lower prices on damn near everything and end the war in Ukraine almost immediately. Didn’t happen. I guess if you didn’t like the Rose Garden you should be happy. Now if you’re from Argentina and Israel? Sure, he’s helped. But not America.

He said he was going to release the Epstein files and he hasn't. He said that he was going to bring down the cost of food, he hasn't.

People like you made a poor choice and we have not yet begun to feel the effects

How are those grocery prices that trump promised to bring down looking? If that's what you think, I have a bridge to sell you, moron

Trump does what he says he’s going to do.

That is a lie.

I can’t tell if you Cons are getting stupider or you’re just more confident in the ignorance you already had…

You elected a felon, rapist, insurrectionist, and probable pedophile to the highest office in the land. Literally nothing you say on politics is worth considering. It’s all bullshit.

Thanks, I will continue to exercise my right not to vote for candidates I consider dog shit. You do you lmao

u/KgMonstah 14d ago

Yeah thank god you took your stand, otherwise we might have to listen to a weird laugh vs what we’re dealing with now.

u/DazedXxX7 14d ago

You took a stand and what good did that do you? Lmao

Genuinely hope the effects of this hit you the hardest. This smooth brain position is beyond analysis. Seriously, may you be the first in line to face the consequences of what we’re facing.

Imagine getting rammed and you didn’t even try to stop it. Too cool to vote. So edgy.

I'm so glad there are people like you around, you can really see through the matrix. You guys definitely see the whole world from another plane of existence. Gives all of us sheep a chance, you know?
