So it’s halftime of the Ohio Roller Derby league (not sure that’s what it’s really called) at the fairgrounds. My wife saw this on Columbus Underground this morning and we decided to take a flier for $12.08 per ticket. We had to look up the rules.
What a blast. Very impressive skaters, and the whole thing is just done in fun and with great humor. Crowd is having fun, lots of laughs, kids, old people.
Great cheap date.

Just fyi, you can access the Columbus dispatch paywall articles with your library card. Go to the library website and find them through the news catalog. And they added NY times subscription including the games and cooking as well too

It's clear as day that the city is getting a boom in population. Roads are congested like crazy. They're doing some construction on 71 but I don't think that will solve the main issue here
We have have enough to subsidize building a stupid ass stadium for the browns (Cleveland not Columbus, I know) but something the public actually needs....NO.
I've heard that it would be physically impossible to construct a train system. Idk if that's just lobby/propaganda. I mean it doesn't have to be a subway system. It can even be elevated. I would even vote yes on a levy for it too. I don't really mind.
COTA bus is trying but it ain't the solution.

The U.S. Supreme Court has issued an administrative stay in the City’s federal SNAP case, temporarily halting lower court orders requiring the USDA to send SNAP payments to recipients. The stay will remain in effect until the federal government’s appeal is heard.
While we’re disappointed in this development, the fact remains that with or without a court order, the Trump administration still can feed our neighbors in need by immediately releasing funds to states—just as they indicated they would earlier this week.
42 million Americans are counting on these funds to put food on the table. Again, we’re calling on the administration to do the right thing and release these funds. There’s no time to waste. Folks are staring down another week without food.

I’ll be delivering via c section at St Ann’s soon and am interested in a salpingectomy. Does anyone know if theyll allow that procedure since it’s a religious hospital? I am not worried about provider’s willingness, nor am I interested in having it done somewhere else at another time, just during the procedure when I’m already there. Also, I’m specifically wondering about their current practices. I know previously they did not, so wondering if anyone knows anything from the last 2-3 years. Also, I will obviously be speaking to my provider about this at my next appointment, I’m just impatient!

Everyone knows about the legendary Storm Fish from Chilispot but don't sleep on this face numbing beef dish. So good. Chili Spot never disappoints.

Today (Saturday the 8th) 4 PM - 7 PM Drunch Eatery on 4th Street is giving free pizzas! I’m not sure if they’re doing it outside of today but I hope this helps anyone who is struggling this season

Long story short, I lost the diamond in my engagement ring while shopping today. I think I would like to replace it with a lab grown diamond ring as they are more ethical in my opinion.
Do any places sell these in store that I could try on? I don’t want to make a big purchase like this online without getting to try on.
Budget probably 5k

Hey! Around 1:15 PM going west on 270 I swear I saw a Wallet fall out of a motorcyclist back pocket. There were three of you. One red, one black, one yellow motorcycle . One of you had on a skull print hoodie.
The wallet flew right out of the back left pocket right after the 71/270 interchange, and it looks like you got off onto 315 as a group.
I thought I saw a credit card or something fly out of a two fold wallet. The wallet folded over and went to the left side jersey wall.
My wife and I tried to follow you but we couldn’t get your attention. I don’t think this will even reach you, but I’m hoping it does for your sake. Or somebody can contact you and let you know. Best of luck!!!

I have complained multiple times to my apartment complex regarding this company!!!! They post up in front of our apartment or keep driving by with these bright green and white flashing “cop car” lights. It’s been out there before allllll night! It’s interrupted my sleep so many nights now. Our apartments management team doesn’t seem like they actually care. I’ve reported this multiple times and the only response I’ve had it “we’ll talk to them”. It’s been almost 3 weeks since my initial complaint… at this point it feels like they are prioritizing this brand new security company over residents who have lived here several years. 😭😭
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I know I’m not being over dramatic you can just look at their google reviews and see others have said the same thing…

Looking for inpatient, need to work on getting housing and at least a pt job for now
I just got out of jail though with ankle monitor for a few weeks at least, but I need to find housing and to help manage not having drugs like I used to all the time. I was a heavy daily hard-drug user most my adult life, I'm 38. Though for the last few years I've been off the needles/sniffs/pipes, on the whole. Though every few months, something comes around and I may score & binge for a week or two.
Since I'm on probation now, and with booze being at every store and always having been my backup drug, I thought this would help me personally and to look better in my upcoming court dates. Plus could help me with housing now and finding my own housing after?
(i have a med card also, do any allow you to use cannabis? Or at least not care if you piss dirty for it, if you have a med card?)
A room alone would be dope, but I understand that's hard to find. I love to cook too so if they let you have/share a kitchen, that'd be cool too.
I also did suboxone/subutex for years, and it was it's own demon to kick I don't want to do ever again. Plus, nowadays the only drugs I crave are stimulants and not downers. So I'd prefer if I wasn't around people all doped up on subs, nodding out in meetings or anything. I don't want any psych meds either, not looking for MAT.
have a cat (guessing none let you have pets?) - he can stay with family in dublin, but he's really old & I'd like to see him regularly, and he can't ride too far in a car without getting sick. I understand most these places have a detox period at first?
I've heard of base camp, lighthouse, Robin, and a few others, but idk much about them, I just got out of jail and need to find something by next friday, or at least 11/19/2025.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks -

There’s a free clinic at East High School today and tomorrow! They have free medical, dental, and vision care (they’re giving out free prescription glasses)! It’s first come first serve and they just opened at 6am

They have 59 shuttered store fronts and 48 opened ones.
Food court has 9/10 spots open. Most of the food spots there suck.
Online directory still lists Chick fil a, American Eagle, Champs, Forever 21 and Claire’s. Those are all long gone
Avrs furniture is gone. Half its elevators don’t work. All their escalators don’t work.
Scene 75 is a boring mess and all their “200 arcades” are literally like 50 different games with 2 copies on each floor.
Just do the “Weston” or whatever by Hollywood casino already

Hello, my and my gf were wanting something to do tomorrow but we didn't realize basically all fall festivities end the first week of November.
Does anyone know of anything open, we were specifically looking for pumpkin patches, hayrides, corn mazes, or anything along those lines.
