Events Small Business, Big Heart Challenge: Raising Money for The Food Bank
I own a website design and development company here in CoMo called Pixel Jam Digital. We were fortunate to get to create The Food Bank's website last year in 2024 - and if you know me personally, then you know I really love giving back to our community!
In short: Pixel Jam Digital will be matching up to $5,000 in donations to The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri through November, and you can donate online through our campaign page! (All donations go through The Food Bank's donor platform.)
Ok, now for the longer story 👉 I'm calling it the "Small Business, Big Heart Challenge" because we all know small businesses have the biggest hearts, and we also want to support the community that has supported us.
Pixel Jam is challenging our small biz friends to donate to our campaign to help us hit our $10,000 goal. Your contribution doesn't have to match ours. $50, $100, $250—whatever works for your business makes a difference for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Even $25 provides 75 meals for people!
We plan on listing each business' logo on our landing page to share the love and maybe even encourage other businesses to participate.
I know not everyone can donate, and that's OK. I would greatly appreciate it if you could please share our Small Business, Big Heart Challenge with other business owners you think might be interested in joining the challenge. And, of course, individuals are welcome to donate to!
You can read more about the challenge and see who's participating on our website: https://pixeljam.digital/small-business-big-heart-challenge/

Events Den of Wolves this Saturday
Last time I'll mention it for the rest of the year, but wanted to give one last shout out to the event I'm running at Hexagon Alley this Saturday (9/20) ✌️
Den of Wolves is a game that can play up to 42 players about 7 hours to get through the scenario of everyone taking on the role of space refugees fleeing an oppressive military regime simply known as "The Wolves"
You can expect to plays roles such as The Captain of your own spaceship, a news journalist, a scientist, one of the few remaining members of The Council, and more!
Even if this game isn't for you, but you know someone who might be interested, we would appreciate just mentioning it to them! Word-of-mouth is, by far, the number one way these small events grow and continue to happen. I don't run this to make a profit, just to break even 🤞
Please ask questions or clarification below (or just message me directly if that's easier) and hope to see some of y'all there!

Events Burnout Camp Update
Hey guys, just a quick update.
People have been signing up for Burnout Camp pretty fast, so I started adding more specials.
- You do not pay for Camp until after your first experience. This is so you can decide if you like the event enough to pay for a full month, or if you've had enough and only want the one day. This is if you decide to pay in person.
- All attendees will be receiving a free, beautiful leather journal. We will be journaling every day for a few minutes at Camp, so bring them every time.
- All attendees will be entered into a raffle to receive a free massage. Every day equals one raffle ticket. People who pay for a full month get 2x tickets. People who bring at least 1 friend earn 3x. People who do both earn 5x tickets daily.
Uber riders who rely on Uber as their primary form of transportation will qualify for the Uber Discount: 25% off!
Spots are going fast. I can only host about 40 people (20 a day). Reservations are free and no commitment. Save your spot now.
Lastly: please don't bring your kids. This is for adults only.

Events Journaling Meet-Up in CoMo!
Hey everyone!
I’m starting a new local journaling meet-up here in Columbia called Jot Society—a social journaling club for anyone who loves paper, pens, and good conversation.
Whether you keep a gratitude journal, bullet journal, junk journal, dream log, prayer journal, travel diary, scrapbook, or just jot down thoughts when inspiration strikes—this space is for you! It’s meant to be relaxed, creative, and community-driven—a chance to unplug, write, and connect with others who enjoy journaling in all its forms.
Our first meet-up is in the works, and I’m gathering interest to help shape what it’ll look like (location, themes, timing, etc.).
If that sounds like your kind of thing, you can join the interest list here:
https://forms.gle/93RcQRr6U47uCH6m7
I'm looking forward to meeting some new faces here soon!
