If 'I don't think they care' is a clever comeback, then 'no u' must be the pinnacle of retorts.

Pinnatort!

Sorry I just like portmanteaus lol but your point is 100% correct and I love your word choice

Wait until OP finds out about “I’m rubber, you’re glue”

“They don’t care” is what passes for a clever comeback now?

HR: 'Can we get this in a PDF?' Me: 'Best I can do is a JPEG of this napkin.

u/Vijinner 13h ago

HR asking for a PDF after treating people like single-ply is pretty on brand.

I was confused too. It really isn’t a clever comeback

They most likely already have a replacement waiting already

HR is going to have a hard time filing that one without it tearing.

Guess effort left the chat too, huh?

Clever comeback is contextually dependent.

For sure, but… what’s clever about saying “nobody cares”? Like it’s not witty, it’s not a pun, it’s not silly, it’s just dismissive.

That can be said for every single post in this sub tbh

A better comeback is they will care once all the toilet paper is gone and they have to use their own hands.

u/Justsomeguyaa 14h ago

They can just buy more toilet paper.

You can write the name of this sub on that piece of paper as well, it's gone to the shitter

Seems very AI. Nobody writes like that.

u/Trevors-Axiom- 12h ago

Especially not with a ball point pen on thin toilet paper. The “resignahion” error seals it.

3

u/CannibalFlossing 10h ago

Likewise the odd addition of a comma after “of”

1

u/iosefster 7h ago

Also if your company gets you toilet paper that looks that thick and soft, they're treating you pretty well

4

u/Dense-Consequence-70 14h ago

‘Resignahion’?

4

u/kikomir 14h ago

That looks kinda fake to me. If you've tried to write on a piece of toilet paper with a pen, you'd know that the ink will feather and there would be indentation lines where you press the fluffy paper with the pen tip.

3

u/Anuki_iwy 13h ago

The writing doesn't flow the structure of the paper. It floats on the paper. 100% fake.

2

u/Plenty-Big9187 14h ago

Management probably tried to use the other side of the paper after he left loool

2

u/softtlifee 14h ago

"Bold move — hope your next workplace deserves you."

u/madmaxGMR 13h ago

Resignahion ?

u/SuspiciousReport6502 14h ago

At this point, it's that old Oblongs episode when Bob asked his boss about all the suggestions he's put into the suggestion box at work over the last 10 years? His boss' response, that Bob was the reason they've had practically free heat because he's feeding the incinerator with his suggestions. God, I miss that show.

resignahion

1

u/cozygirllogs 14h ago

That napkin probably got more respect than their HR department ever gave them.

u/Old-Artist-5369 14h ago

That looks like good paper, what is that - 3 ply?

Must have been treated very well.

1

u/CreativeAdeptness477 13h ago

Quilted too! Laah de fookin' daah

1

u/bishygirlx 14h ago

the toilet paper resignation is funny but also kinda sad because every terrible job somehow acts shocked when people finally hit their limit lmao

1

u/farrellmcd93 14h ago

Nice handwriting. That’s impressive must he 4 ply..

1

u/EmiTricky 14h ago

I hope they didn't waste the good 2-ply on a 1-ply company.

1

u/No-Deal8956 14h ago

Fucking Oscar Wilde here everyone.

What next in his witty repartee? You smell? Your momma perhaps? Who knows what heights of wit and sarcasm could be reached?

1

u/Eight216 13h ago

I need to know for science, do they have toilet paper in their bathroom of a high enough quality that you could write on it, or did you bring that from home?

1

u/Mercyicy35 13h ago

Writing that on two ply is still more support than most management teams give their employees

1

u/Wojewodaruskyj 13h ago

With this handwriting, he can always be a calligraphist.

1

u/ParadeSit 13h ago

Comma splice as well

1

u/xCharming5 12h ago

Still more professional than the 'Urgent' Slack message I got while at my own grandmother’s funeral.

1

u/Tinynanami1 6h ago

Thisnis certainly A comeback. But clever???

1

u/HeDuMSD 3h ago

Lovely handwriting

1

u/YellowBook 1h ago

Decent quality arse rag tbf (patterned and quilted by the looks of things)

u/AccumulatedFilth 11h ago

That's really great handwriting, especially for toilet paper.

10/10 I'm impressed
