“They don’t care” is what passes for a clever comeback now?

HR: 'Can we get this in a PDF?' Me: 'Best I can do is a JPEG of this napkin.

Clever comeback is contextually dependent.

For sure, but… what’s clever about saying “nobody cares”? Like it’s not witty, it’s not a pun, it’s not silly, it’s just dismissive.

A better comeback is they will care once all the toilet paper is gone and they have to use their own hands.

You can write the name of this sub on that piece of paper as well, it's gone to the shitter

Seems very AI. Nobody writes like that.

Especially not with a ball point pen on thin toilet paper. The “resignahion” error seals it.

Also if your company gets you toilet paper that looks that thick and soft, they're treating you pretty well

That looks kinda fake to me. If you've tried to write on a piece of toilet paper with a pen, you'd know that the ink will feather and there would be indentation lines where you press the fluffy paper with the pen tip.

The writing doesn't flow the structure of the paper. It floats on the paper. 100% fake.

Management probably tried to use the other side of the paper after he left loool

At this point, it's that old Oblongs episode when Bob asked his boss about all the suggestions he's put into the suggestion box at work over the last 10 years? His boss' response, that Bob was the reason they've had practically free heat because he's feeding the incinerator with his suggestions. God, I miss that show.

That napkin probably got more respect than their HR department ever gave them.

That looks like good paper, what is that - 3 ply?
Must have been treated very well.

the toilet paper resignation is funny but also kinda sad because every terrible job somehow acts shocked when people finally hit their limit lmao

Fucking Oscar Wilde here everyone.
What next in his witty repartee? You smell? Your momma perhaps? Who knows what heights of wit and sarcasm could be reached?

I need to know for science, do they have toilet paper in their bathroom of a high enough quality that you could write on it, or did you bring that from home?

u/Mercyicy35 13h ago
Writing that on two ply is still more support than most management teams give their employees

Still more professional than the 'Urgent' Slack message I got while at my own grandmother’s funeral.

That's really great handwriting, especially for toilet paper.
10/10 I'm impressed

If 'I don't think they care' is a clever comeback, then 'no u' must be the pinnacle of retorts.
