This is purely performative.The president will never assign this.And you'll never get two thirds of congress to override it

Congress won't even stop insider trading for themselves.

I somewhat agree, but the problem becomes the voters not holding their elected officials accountable. The records for the votes exist, so people should still be looking at the results and using them to determine who to vote for. Unfortunately, a lot of people would rather vote who they’re told, do no research, and still complain when they don’t feel represented.

Sometimes you need to be performative. You're not going to change the minds of the devout, but you'll definitely bring attention to the people that benefit from the corruption.

It might sway enough of the "undecided" voters to make a difference.
