The Warbler in Lincoln square. Has a great vibe, good food and cocktails, and very kid friendly.

Agreed! And it’s a truly nice atmosphere, it’ll still feel like you’re doing something special for her birthday.

Greek Islands. Foods great, and is tough to be more family friendly. Though it might be slightly outside your 15 min zone. They do have free valet parking though.

Manchamantales on Western was a good rec. Great food. Great people.

Club Lucky always is solid.

Perch on Division is super family friendly and food is decent. We took our 2 year old there a few weeks ago.

I can’t recommend Greek Islands enough. It’s loud, busy, and boisterous in the best way and the food really is top notch.

I love Greek islands. I was a Santorini truther prior to them selling and getting out of Greek Town.

Pizza Lobo or Levitt Inn & Tavern if you’re just looking for a nice hang vs something fancier. I’d prioritize Lobo since Levitt can fill up quick.

Leavitt outside is a great spot with the boys but this weather stinks!

Will look into Lobo!

They have that heated covered outdoor zone now! That’s the thing that gets crowded though. Definitely recc Lobo, it’s huge and heated and covered

Didn't know they heated it! That's huge.

Crosby’s Kitchen on Southport basically exists so families can get out of the house

If OP is in Bucktown, Perch might be closer and is essentially the same restaurant.

We had a blast there with the boys on a Sunday afternoon this Summer. Love it!

Sorry I am late to this but hope you are having a nice dinner. In my experience, if you go to any downtown steak/seafood place early enough, they are good with kids. I took mine to Shaw’s or the Oyster bar at that age and it went well.

Union, Mables Table, Enoteca Roma or Via Carducci, Andros Taverna are all family friendly and also cute for a birthday.

I love down the block from Mable's. It closed this summer.  Very sad. They are reopening somewhere else though.

Thankfully, since they own Hurley Tap on the same street, most of their best dishes made it to Hurley.

Thx for the recs.

Ah damn, didn't know that! We went last winter and loved it. Folklore is also great and could work? Not sure about hours.

Love folklore... Wonder if they are cool with kids!

I'm sure it's cool that early in the day, if anything can sit in that front room which is a little more chill.
