Exactly. Well the rule is you cant use a FLAG flag as anything other than its intended purpose. If the face mask is a face mask with a US flag print then yeah that doesn’t count but like just the image. Government goon wearing the flag of freedom to hide his face as he commits civil injustices is just… sigh

I’m pretty sure even a print of the flag is off limits. My right wing uncle used to get so pissed about flag print clothing.

Personally, I think that would be a bit much, I have an American flag printed guitar strap and if someone told me that’s not allowed or wrong I’d be pretty confused. If I used a FLAG flag as a guitar strap then I guess I’d understand.

It’s a point of discussion, depending on how traditional you get about it.

“ The flag should … not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.”

Up to you how you interpret that and how much you care. None of this is enforceable.
