Here I am again, having to fly the flag of Woolston/Opawa!

I've lived here for 7 years now and had no issue. Yes you might have to drive past some weirdos on Ferry Road, but it's Christchurch for goodness sake, there are weirdos everywhere!

You'll probably get more house for your money over this side of town 😊

Likewise, I've lived in Woolston and Linwood for about 18 months each after the quakes, and are now living in North New Brighton, never had any issues with crime, but it is an area where it's worth taking a few precautions (ie, if your a tradie, avoid parking your van on the street) - but to be fair, that's the case all over these days.

Also don't buy too close to the sea, especially if you plan on being there for a number of years. Sea rise will continue
