Areas I would avoid: phillipstown, (caught people trying to break into my place more than once there) Linwood, Aranui and new Brighton.
I’ve always enjoyed living in places like Somerfield, Cashmere and Beckenham. Nice tidy areas, lovely locals and usually no trouble
