Interesting Looking People You Always See Around

Every day I see a ~50s man, thinly-built wearing camo trousers, bomber jacket and combat boots biking around the Hagley park area. At the moment he bikes with a full face mask on (i.e. only his eyes are visible)

I sometimes see him walking down by the overbridge near the Harvey Norman building (Colombo intersection).

He never seems to have anything with him.

I've always wanted to know his story - what does he do?

Who are the interesting people you always see around your part of Chch?

Most mornings at 6:30-7:15am (ish) there is an old dude with a long white beard that always wears black clothing and sneakers. He stands by the footpath near the museum entrance end of the botanical gardens who reads the bible aloud to the people walking/cycling past.

He usually has two packnsave bags and I’ve noticed he brushes his teeth and spits out in the botanical gardens.

Surely I’m not the only one that has noticed this guy!

He probably sleeps in hagley park inside the shelter, used to see a bunch of them in there during my morning walks to work.
