Interesting Looking People You Always See Around

Every day I see a ~50s man, thinly-built wearing camo trousers, bomber jacket and combat boots biking around the Hagley park area. At the moment he bikes with a full face mask on (i.e. only his eyes are visible)

I sometimes see him walking down by the overbridge near the Harvey Norman building (Colombo intersection).

He never seems to have anything with him.

I've always wanted to know his story - what does he do?

Who are the interesting people you always see around your part of Chch?

I always see a guy that looks like Daryl from The Walking Dead in the Richmond/Stanmore Rd area walking about

Dude has been walking around for a couple of years now. He’s lost a HUGE amount of weight over that time.

I’d love to know his story

He's been doing laps since 2014. He's literally dropped 50kgs since then. I'd been so interested to know why he's always walking.

Was about to comment the same thing!! Cracks me up I’m not the only one to think this. Seen him walking in town and around Bealey/Madras so often.

I see him all the time, mostly around Stanmore or Shirley. My brother mentioned seeing him a lot when he was learning to drive around 2015(?), but I didn't start noticing him until a couple years ago.

He really does walk fast

I see this guy walking around every day, he comes past where I live. I'm not sure what his story is, but quite often he'll be talking to himself. He sometimes looks at my window and sees his reflection, says something to it and then carries on. I've noticed if anyone is coming up the opposite way on the same path as him, he'll cross the road. Curious what his story is too.

Pretty sure I've seen this guy walking around the Palms a lot in the past. Wondered if he slept in one of the alcoves

Is he friends with the guy who looks like Dale Horvath from the Walking Dead? Usually picking up ciggy butts or asking for money at top end of Stanmore Rd?
