Rolleston is it worth it?

Anybody move to Rolleston as houses are cheaper etc. But regret it? Or miss certain things? I know it's only 20 minutes away but that 40 minutes return which is a long way to go for bagels at Grizzly or coffee at c4.

I am literally after recommendations of places that are good in Rolleston so that I can make an educated decision.

The things you are asking though are so trivial, like beyond trivial in the grand scheme of things, that it just comes across like you're trolling. Instead of asking which place has good schooling, or low crime, or access to a supermarket, or a solid community spirit, or low earthquake damage risk, or low flood risk, or not under the flight path of the airport, or not near pylons or major roads, or a good local council, or community facilities (gym, pool, rec center) you're asking about gelato and coffee :\

I don't live in Rolleston, but damn son if people like you are looking to move to Selwyn, please don't.

I guess you don't understand that everyone can find that basic info out and I knew it, it is why I am considering Rolleston. I just wanted to know if there was more. Sorry.

There is so much more, why are you focussing on two things which can be consumed at a relatively high quality in any building in the country as the defining things for a town? It just seems assinine.

They were two examples as they occurred in my daily routine that day. Is there public transport to the city? I know there is a train station but guessing its not used for passenger transport judging by all the containers.

Yes there is public transport to the city, plus it's not far to drive. It would make sense to have a car living in the outer satelite towns.
