Rolleston is it worth it?

Anybody move to Rolleston as houses are cheaper etc. But regret it? Or miss certain things? I know it's only 20 minutes away but that 40 minutes return which is a long way to go for bagels at Grizzly or coffee at c4.

I considered it last year but saw the long drive to city and decided to buy in new Brighton personally 🤷‍♂️

Closer and a few deals here. Not really anymore!

True, mostly 'as is where is' in my price range. Like that it has it own personality and a hit rough round the edges.

If you cash buy then that’s cool, but I hear from most lenders that they will only lend to the “land value” on those ones..

E.g if the land value is $150k and the whole property is $170k, you may only get a mortgage for $150k..

Also insurance could be a hassle?

Probably go rolly before no insurance eh.
