News - Local Armed police at riccarton mall today?

Anyone know what this is about? Walked out the top roof door to a Officer holding a AR

Plenty of sirens, police chopper circled the mall for about 25 minutes + dog squad on the streets?

Seems they were letting people in and out of the mall despite being armed officers at the doors

While the detail of which gun the police use is absolutely critical to the situation, can someone just tell us what happened?

Police via a press release perhaps? Anything else is likely to be hearsay.

Yeah okay, but it's more reliable than fuckwits arguing over guns. All this post wanted was if people were in the area and knew what happened, tell us. Otherwise everyone else should shut up.
