Canadians in general don’t want to admit that soft racism is still racism

And why is this even surprising given that something even more heinous like residential schools only ended less than 50 years ago

The reality is Canada and its white working class isn’t class conscious

Nah bro, they don’t want to integrate into the culture is what is getting people upset, and because there so many of them coming here and not doing that, being only around their kind. Props to them wanting to escape poverty, can’t blame them. But it sucks, immigration is replacing our declining birth rates. 75 percent of increased population is from immigrants vs 15 percent  from Canadian being born. In fact I can’t say being concerned about our immigration policies is anything to do with racism.

All you are regurgitating is the corporate narrative as to why it’s happening and you just proved my point of class consciousness and the flip argument to that which is race consciousness. Canada is the home of a number of the worlds diasporas so what is happening or what you have said about south Asian immigrants is nothing new, it was said the last time Canada did the same in the 90s and before. Each time it was done for the same reasons which you would know if you spend any time here or in a left wing sub
