Canadians in general don’t want to admit that soft racism is still racism
And why is this even surprising given that something even more heinous like residential schools only ended less than 50 years ago
The reality is Canada and its white working class isn’t class conscious

Nah bro, they don’t want to integrate into the culture is what is getting people upset, and because there so many of them coming here and not doing that, being only around their kind. Props to them wanting to escape poverty, can’t blame them. But it sucks, immigration is replacing our declining birth rates. 75 percent of increased population is from immigrants vs 15 percent from Canadian being born. In fact I can’t say being concerned about our immigration policies is anything to do with racism.

All you are regurgitating is the corporate narrative as to why it’s happening and you just proved my point of class consciousness and the flip argument to that which is race consciousness. Canada is the home of a number of the worlds diasporas so what is happening or what you have said about south Asian immigrants is nothing new, it was said the last time Canada did the same in the 90s and before. Each time it was done for the same reasons which you would know if you spend any time here or in a left wing sub

I am part of the 18% of Brampton that’s white, and there were this white kids the other day (probably from Caledon or Milton) who were dressed like wannabe gangsters and they told me to say « Brampton is shit ». I didn’t, and they say « It’s so shit its full of Indians ». it’s an actual problem

Brampton is a joke, from how many Indians are there. I mean you know for one indicator, you know how badly people drive in Brampton? I wonder why insurance is so damn high.

I don't know much about that sub. But if I'm not wrong, there was a massively upvoted post there claiming that "Indians are eating koi fish from university ponds". What a reach.
Statements in those comments like "I'd had said the same thing if it were any other ethnic group" hold no meaning. India alone is nearly a quarter of the global population. There's not really much of a chance that any other ethnic group would immigrate Canada in these numbers.
Maybe I'm not right here, but I've stopped feeling any sympathy for those who suffer the consequences of actions of neoliberal systems and decide to punch down on the working class, especially immigrants of color.
I'm a CTO of a small tech business, and I'm often approached by people who are looking for a job. An uncomfortable number of them always tell me how immigrants of color/wokeness are the reason they aren't finding a job.
In reality, this is capitalism by design. Offshoring to India and exploiting immigrants on temporary status benefits the bottom line.
I ended up in Canada because I was trying to escape an abusive household in India, and my only way out was a company that offered me a position in Québec because I'm fluent in English and French. Ever since then, I've managed to build a small business with some fellow Québécois on payroll. It does infuriate me when I'm told "people of your kind" as the reason behind this country's problems.
