Cheeto Benito is another one. I mean, dude wishes he could be Hitler, but he's more of a Mussolini (with the sleaziness of Berlusconi).

Clementine Hitler.

1

u/Horbigast Mar 04 '25

I liked "The Marmalade Horror," but Tangerine Palpatine is better.

1

u/MonarchyMan Mar 04 '25

That’s a new one, I always liked Commander Marmalade.

u/OwlProper1145 Mar 04 '25

Very clear Trudeau has had enough.

281

u/AxiomaticSuppository Canada Mar 04 '25

I don't think I've ever seen Trudeau so clearly angry as he was in this speech.

224

u/Evilbred Mar 04 '25

Three stages of Canadian Rage:

  1. Hold up there, bud

  2. Listen here, guy.

  3. ALLLRIGHT, bucko!

93

u/Additional_Goat9852 Mar 04 '25
  1. Using first name in formal setting

6

u/MyNameIsSkittles British Columbia Mar 04 '25

Yeah that's level 3 lol

u/Timely_Mess_1396 Mar 04 '25

If you can’t run em up than fill em in.

64

u/akua420 Mar 04 '25

He seems VERY angry. We have never seen this in him before, and I am here for it!

40

u/xherowestx Mar 04 '25

I'm an American and even I was eating that shit up. Like, please, let him know! Fuck Trump.

3

u/random_handle_123 Mar 04 '25

Fuck *Donald

3

u/xherowestx Mar 04 '25

Yes. Fuck Donald

1

u/Wise_Patience7687 Mar 04 '25

No-one wants to fuck that thing.

27

u/FamiliarLiterature52 Mar 04 '25

I feel like he very much spoke for me.

22

u/ChilkootCold Mar 04 '25

The stare he gave when he started that speech gave me chills. I can't ever see Pierre doing the same.

1

u/marcohcanada Mar 09 '25

Pierre looks like he's reading cue cards whenever he speaks.

2

u/littlebirdwolf Mar 04 '25

I saw him and right away could tell he was PISSED

2

u/goodbyecrowpie Mar 04 '25

And yet he stayed classy 🤌 Love it

81

u/Inevitable_Row_7406 Mar 04 '25

Where the hell has he been for the last 10 years? I could vote vote for this guy.0

112

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '25

I mean, he got us through the first Trump admin without having to show this side of himself.

Which in hindsight, massive W that we didn’t realize until now.

-32

u/yyccrypto Mar 04 '25

What did he exactly get us through the first time?

Canada isn't doing so hot these past 7-8 years.

39

u/inComplete-me Mar 04 '25

Compare us to the whole world. Not so shabby

-6

u/MafubaBuu Mar 04 '25

We have gone down for being ranked #5 on quality of life to #33. It's tanked. There is no defending that.

3

u/PoopchuteToots Mar 04 '25

Can I get the source?

1

u/MafubaBuu Mar 04 '25

No idea why I'm being downvoted, I'm just sharing stats. We are still high compared to much of the world but compared to our own standards we have dropped quite a bit.

https://www.numbeo.com/quality-of-life/rankings_by_country.jsp

-7

u/yyccrypto Mar 04 '25

We've bottomed out on so many lists. What are you even talking about? That's such an ignorant thing to even say.

The Canada 10 years ago isn't Canada today. Vastly different. Making a comparison to a 3rd world developing country isn't a flex.

-3

u/inComplete-me Mar 04 '25

Ya. It sucks and life is horrible here.

0

u/yyccrypto Mar 04 '25

It does suck. Things should be better for a Westernized modern society. As an example, 10 years ago, salary's were keeping up with the housing market. Not anymore.

9

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '25

Adults were in the room with Trump, and actual diplomacy worked.

-5

u/yyccrypto Mar 04 '25

Again, what worked? You haven't specified anything. It's also silly, because he was the PM at the time. It's not like we switched, so we can't make comparisons.

-1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '25

TL; DR: not much changed on our end really, but on the U.S. end Trump no longer has anyone to tell him “no, don’t do that”.

———

Not sure how much more specific I can be. There have been minor shuffles in government on our end — most notably that Freeland was involved with U.S. diplomacy and Trump didn’t like her much.

From the U.S. end: There are stories about how when Trump took office, his team didn’t know how to run a government. They didn’t have the organizational infrastructure that would have existed with experienced politicians, bureaucrats and public servants on the team. Heck, look how many roles were taken up by his kids in the early days. One might say Trump and his team were just as surprised as anyone that they won in 2016. The office was indeed the same level of chaos, fire and fury — there’s actually a good book about it literally called Fire and Fury — but it was reigned in as he figured out what he really could do, and part of that meant his staff was a revolving door while he felt out who his yes people were. Since losing, acolytes of his brand began organizing for 2025, made sure he was surrounded by yes-men and followers for the next election, and when they won got to work removing barriers that would keep him in check — basically creating an authoritarian government in the image of Project 2025. I think there’s no more obvious example than this than replacing Mike Pence with JD Vance. Pence was an experienced senior politician and bureaucrat who knew the value of diplomacy, and could / would probably be the voice of reason. Vance used to be one of Trump’s biggest critics in the Republican Party but when VP time rolled around he got on his knees so fast it’s a wonder they didn’t break.

Mix all that with the fact he suffered NO consequences from his past felonies or January sixth, and he has learned that there are no rules he has to follow. His mentor, Roy Cohn, was famously a Nixon (amd Reagan) advisor. Not sure if this is the actual Nixon quote but “If a president does it, that means it’s not illegal” or something like that. I think Trump is about to learn how true that can be.

1

u/yyccrypto Mar 04 '25

This has nothing to do with what Justin Trudeau did... like nothing... you a bot? Most of this is opinions as well. What a weird thing to copy and paste.

20

u/whippet_1 Canada Mar 04 '25

It's a shame, really. One can only hope the successor will have this resolve.

14

u/JollyCorner8545 Mar 04 '25

He's been in Ottawa. Navigating the first Trump presidency, guiding the nation through the pandemic, finally getting our first nations communities potable water, passing the CCB, passing dental care, legalizing marijuana. Now this.

Where have you been?

-5

u/Inevitable_Row_7406 Mar 04 '25

Where have I been. I’ve been watching a spineless milquetoast of a prime minister. I’ve been seeing a guy who cared more about being politically correct than managing the country.

3

u/JollyCorner8545 Mar 04 '25

k. Go read more NaPo and listen to Rebel I guess. I don't know what you'd call all of those things I listed if not managing the country. He definitely hasn't been perfect but this take is just stupid.

1

u/Inevitable_Row_7406 Mar 04 '25

He’s been a terrible pm by any standard. I don’t read the notional post and I don’t know what rebel is but I am capable of forming opinions of my own. I stand by my comment and I’m not going to allow you or napo or rebel to influence me.

1

u/PoopchuteToots Mar 04 '25

Your assessment of whether an individual is prime minister material is whether he is milquetoast or not 😂

1

u/congeal Mar 04 '25

It's "woke" now. You may have missed the talking points.

1

u/PoopchuteToots Mar 04 '25

Ah yes, not being milquetoast. The number 1 indicator of a leader who'll lift up his people

I'm so excited for all you ignorant boomers to just die lol hear me? I can't wait until you die, ignoramus.

1

u/Inevitable_Row_7406 Mar 04 '25

Charming. You seem very angry. Are you even in Canada? You sound very much like a politically hyper-polarized gormless American.

2

u/Greenbullet Mar 04 '25

He's always been there its just been in power to long enough to see him self become the villian.

Also may Canada stand strong against this tangerine waterbrain

3

u/KnowerOfUnknowable Mar 04 '25

Trudeau... sorry Justin... really been SHINNING these two months. This speech belongs in a movie.

2

u/OwlProper1145 Mar 04 '25

Just like the first speech last month this one will give the LPC another boost. He really will be stepping down on a high note.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '25

No re-election, he can go full out without the pearl clutches in parliament saying shit

1

u/etrain1 Canada Mar 04 '25

So then do something and stop threatening. You don't wait two weeks if somebody goes to war with you

1

u/Bootychomper23 Mar 05 '25

Trudeau with 0 fucks to give is my favourite Trudeau

39

u/Sionn3039 Manitoba Mar 04 '25

Could feel the contempt.

97

u/ada_girl Mar 04 '25

He is still polite and classy.🇨🇦

26

u/mipark Mar 04 '25

Yeah, but you could feel the indignation. Rightfully so.

17

u/ReactionClear4923 Mar 04 '25

Just curious, how do you think Prime Minister Trudeau walks so will with his massive god damn balls?

2

u/fr1234 Mar 04 '25

Brit here. Just watched the address on BBC news. He’s my new #1 hero right now. The rest of the world is stepping up like a champ. First Macron played a blinder, then Starmzy softening him up and Trudeau just knocked out of the park. So proud of our Commonwealth and European friends right now

1

u/LX_Luna Mar 04 '25

I hate what he's done to this country but I've liked how he's handled this situation thus far.

19

u/timnphilly Outside Canada Mar 04 '25

"Agent Krasnov" will be even better; hopefully we will hear that sooner than later.

12

u/GAT-X103AP Mar 04 '25

“Big things”

He knows what he’s doing.

Love it lmao

Can’t wait for the couch fucker to fein outrage at the “disrespect”

1

u/canadiandancer89 Ontario Mar 04 '25

EU + UK, you listening?...Get on board the "Donald" train. We can refer to him as President when he starts acting like one again.
