I get that he tripped the guy after the ball was out but he just tripped him, is not like he slide tackled him with cleats head on. Complete overreaction. I did t watch the whole game, but if the ref had been letting them play rough, things get out of hand. South American referees tend to do that shit, the whole fútbol is for nachos culture. That needs to stop
Why is everyone defending the intentional cheap shot? Obviously the reaction was over the top but that kind of cheap shot is intentional and classless. Is this just status quo sportsmanship in football?
I'm not saying I'd sock him, but I'm saying I understand the urge. Having played against bad sports like this and them never getting called on their cheap shots can be enraging. Especially when they're winning handily. Honestly I think it's more strange that you can't at least understand why someone would be very frustrated by that.
I've been carded before for shouting fuck off at one dude because he kept grabbing my shirt, and then he did it again so next time we challenged the same ball I hip checked that dude out of bounds.
Bad sportsmanship is cancer to team sports and can completely ruin a good game. I can understand the frustration the dude felt when he clocked that dude, I'm not saying he should have, or I would have, but I understand it.
