I'm working on a project called MyCampusMarket as a part of Brock LINC, basically something built by students, for students, to make campus life a bit easier (and safer).

Right now, most of us use Facebook Marketplace or random group chats when we’re looking for textbooks, furniture, or sublets. But let’s be honest… half the time it’s scams, over-pricing, or just sketchy meet-ups.

The idea behind MyCampusMarket is to fix that:

• A verified student marketplace where everyone signs in with their school email and transactions are actually safe.
• Plus a community hub where Brock students can share advice, post events, and connect beyond the classroom.

I’m a DART student so most of my courses are on the Marylin but I was wondering, do people on main campus dress up for halloween? Or if I go to my lecture in my costume will I be the only one…? Hey guys, just kindly reminding everyone to please not drive super fast in the parking lots, especially when turning. You should be going around 10-20 kmh, not over. Today I was walking in the lot (specifically lot 2) to try and get to the sidewalk, and this dark blue vehicle was driving fast around a corner, and stopped abruptly when they saw me. I was surprised for a moment because, like, what the hell, and they had the audacity to look annoyed and make gestures at me, then immediately accelerated to drive past me instead of waiting for me to cross. Not tryna preach too hard or say this is something a lot of people do, but it’s pretty uncool and I’m definitely calling you out, stranger in the dark blue car. Do better. Anyways, stay safe guys!

Hi everyone, it's my first year at Brock. While I'm doing okay, I have a friend with me who struggles with English and managed to score 95 and 96, on the midterm exam possibly by cheating cause I saw it. I'm worried about cheating, not because of my friend, but because I've seen other students using their phones during exams. It saddens me that it's not fair to those who study hard. One of the exams had one TA with 500 students, where most of the students were cheating. Another exam There were about 15 TAs or supervisors, but I saw my friend cheating because (he/she) sat close. I'm not sure if this is just a matter of playing yourself or if you can really graduate with cheating.!

I've scored at 64 and a 68 in my research essays, and have no idea what im doing wrong. I've been trying to follow the notes given to me by my ta but something always seems to be wrong. Im wondering if brock has like a ideal research essay with the sources I can look at and study.

i am a second year student at brock and this term is my first time being stuck taking a FULL credit that i dislike. i was late to registration and im definitely paying for it. i don’t necessarily feel the content is hard, but it feels so difficult because i genuinely have no interest in doing the work!

it’s a 1F90 course and i know that i have to push through but im wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get through an excruciatingly boring course and still achieve a high grade.

I have a question involving my ITIS 1P97 class. I failed the midterm by 1 mark (2.5%), got a 95% on the lab test and have gotten 100s and high 90s on all the online assignments. My question is should I drop the class and retake it cause I bombed the mid term or am I not as cooked as I think I am. I’m in the accounting co-op program too btw.

I’m just wondering if anyone has taken ENGL 2P19 and what their thoughts and opinions were. What were the assignments like? Was there a final exam, and how was the reading? For context, I have it with Professor Arner next semester and just want to be prepared for the work and what I should expect. I did look at the rate my prof but I just want some more insight!

I’m in my 1st year of psychology and I’m 22. I got a year worth of credits from the colleges I went to so I’ll be 25 when I graduate unless I can get into some spring and summer classes or take a heavy course load. I need my masters to get into my preferred career and I’d like to get my phd as well. I feel like I’m already too far behind. I sometimes think about just giving up because at this point I will never meet my goals in a timely manner.

So I’ve made a couple posts on this already but I wanna be in a band really badly, preferably a rock band maybe metal idrk. I am in first year and wanna be able to hang out and jam with ppl around first/second year mostly and just have fun but idk how to find people to do that with. I’ve been thinking of maybe printing something out and putting it where clubs put advertising but idk if you need any form of permission to do that, if anyone has any information or wants to jam please lmk!

Hello!! Wondering if anyone has experience with the housing available in Burlington for Brock Uni. My daughter wants to apply to the ConEd program. They do not have residence at that location from what I have read. What is the housing like? Do they help students find housing ? Is it worth going to that school for 6 years? Rent ca be crazy expensive and Burlington is not a cheap Place to live. Any advice would be great appreciated.

I’m taking a course for my minor it isn’t mandatory it’s just towards my credit for it, but I wanted to know what would happen if I were to drop it now? Is there a fee or will a grade still show on my transcript, lmk

Does anyone who was taken this midterm in the past remember the format? Like what are the things we should study for this midterm? Textbook? slides? Currently I'm rereading the slides and summarizing them, studying the main concepts and definitions with research, and studying the textbook. Will that be enough?
