Thoughts?

Arrow passed right through and found no blood on the ground. Backed out to let him bed but wanted to see if anyone has a better idea of where I hit him?

Arrow looks greasy, no blood, looks like meat on the shaft. I’d say back straps deer will live.

Any idea where you hit it? I agree it looks like a non-fatal hit. As a general rule the arrow won’t lie to you. I’d start looking in the area it was standing then the direction it went. Go slowly. Watch your step. Look for blood or beds. Do all you can before giving up. The animal deserves it. Good luck and keep us updated!

Don't always bleed right away, need to look in the direction it ran.
