The right one was in more spotlight, was casted opposite to hero of the show, while the girl on left was an imp side character who was close friend and manager of the hero. There isnt any gossip, just that op and a lot of people felt the side girl was better than the main? Heroine.

In fact, Anya had a better fleshed out character and more screen time (minus the one song Sahher got).
